Today I have a graduation card to share with you. That time of year will be here again before you know it. I love using this sentiment (from Creative Vision) for graduation cards. I also like to pair it with butterflies for a more feminine card. I found this beautiful water color feel/look paper at Hobby Lobby. Love it so much i used a whole 8 1/2x 11 sheet and made like 6 different cards. I may have also went back and got a few more sheets?! My one niece graduates this year and I want to have some extra cards on hand in case she wants some for her friends?! She's already hit me up for some Thank you cards for her teacher's. That's it for today thanks for stopping by and enjoy whats left of your weekend! It's been a rainy one here but guess that's better than snow? Cutting this one to the wire. Ready for Spring? I sure am!! The weather lately sure makes it hard for my outdoor photos, had to sweep the snow of my rock wall first! When I saw the Tuesday Morning sketch this past week I knew I had to play along. My card uses a gorgeous 3D flower sticker. Have you been to the Dollar Tree recently? They sure have some NICE craft stuff. These stickers get me every time. You'll be seeing a lot more in the future I'm sure. Added a heat embossed sentiment from my bag of ready to use extras and a couple of mini white brads. Pretty quick and simple but oh so pretty i think?! Thats all for now thanks for stopping by and hope to see ya again soon!! I found this sheet of paper at Hobby Lobby and just had to use it right away. This card looked much better in person. The weather has been making it hard to get out for good pictures. Sure has been "snowy" the past week or two! Guessing we've been spoiled by all the milder winters we've had the past few years. Dug out and oldie my MS heart border punch! I like it but it will sadly only work on very thin card stock or paper. Guessing that's probably why you can no longer get them? That and everything is now dies which do take up much less room I guess?! Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!! Today I have another Valentine card to share with you! This one I'll be giving to my hubby! This Penny Black kitty reminds me of our 2 newest babies. I colored the image with my Copic markers, fussy cut it and popped it up. I used a mixture of die cut and stamped hearts to make/build my collage. Added a banner sentiment and some rhinestones to finish it off. You'll be seeing more of this kitty/image as I used it for all my other Valentine's this year too! LOVE Penny Black!! I added a picture of my sleeping angels but don't let that fool you they aren't always this quiet/calm! That's it for now thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Today I have a Valentine card I made for my youngest son. This Impression Obsession image reminds me so much of his puppy Quiche! My son is currently in his 2nd year of Veterinary school. His dream since like the 2nd grade. So proud of him! I just LOVE the colors on this card. Need to use it more often. That's it for today short and sweet! Hope to get another one or two blog posts scheduled for the week. Wish me luck as I have been dealing with a kitten on my lap/keyboard this whole blog post! Mom sits they must be on my lap too! Love them to death though and hope they are still so snuggly when they get big. Thanks for stopping by! Once again I seem to have made a mostly "die cuts" card? I was going thru stuff laying on my desk and found this Daisy Mosaic die cut that I had cut out months ago! It's from Creative Expressions and it's a bit of a odd size. After I cut it out I wasn't sure what to do with it and just laid it aside and forgot about it but the current Freshly made sketch inspired me with how to use it! I LOVE how this turned out!! I foresee more cards in different colors and sentiments in my future! Maybe switch out the dragonflies for butterflies?! My dragonflies are from a punch. I added some black nailheads to the flower centers. Anyone know where to buy these at? I used to get them at AC Moore's. Miss that store! Gonna miss using them when my stash is gone. They are so nice for mailing compared to brads and rhinestones ect. My sentiment is heat embossed. I don't remember of hand who it's by? It's a wooden stamp that i picked up at one of the box stores. It was cut out with a Stamps of Life stitched rectangle die. Thats it for now thanks for stopping by! Challenges are listed below.

~ Challenges ~

Freshly Made Sketches ~ Sketch #470

A Gem of a Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Die Cut Divas ~ Frame it

Crafty Creations ~ Anything Goes

House that Stamps Built ~ Anything Goes

Janice Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02591571481018248529noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3066026455961137429.post-71977482224492576432021-01-27T16:00:00.003-05:002021-01-27T16:03:18.895-05:00Birthday Corgi

Hello! Finally made some time to get back in the craft room! Been a little busy lately with my new fur babies!! We got 2 new kittens the day before Thanksgiving. Meet Butterball and Buttercup! I forgot how much fun kittens are, been like 11 years since we had babies in the house. I've been soaking up all the kitten snuggles I can get. I'm posting some of the pictures from when they were about 2 months or so old. Will post more recent ones soon. They are growing so fast! Aren't they adorable??!

Okay now to the real reason your here, my card! I borrowed this adorable Corgi set from a friend. It's from the Stamps of Life. It has the cutest sentiments to go along with it. I didn't use one of them on this card but you will see them in the future! I borrowed this set because I have a niece who LOVES Corgi's and I want to make her some special cards. She'll be 18 soon and she graduates this year too. I heat embossed my image and than colored it with my Copic markers. It's been ages since i colored with them. I'm going to have to get my refills out as some of my markers are getting a little dry. Seems I have been on a mainly die cut only card making mode lately? Felt good to color again although I felt a bit rusty! I fussy cut the image and added a few punched balloons with some pretty bakers twine to match. I think it turned out cute? Always good to add some "boy" cards to the stash. That's it for now, thanks so much for stopping by! Hopefully I'll stay in the grove and keep making and posting cards! Well It's that time of year again.....Holiday challenges!! I'm having a very slow start but still hope to get a few done! The weather has been unseasonably warm and sunny here and I just can't stay inside and miss out on it. I did make a short visit to the craft room to throw together this quick CAS card! I broke down and bought the SU moose punch and just had to be sure to use it. It makes for great masculine cards don't you think??! Keeping this one short and sweet. Not really wishing Summer away put it has been a warm one and I am ready for the cooler temps! Today's card screams Fall to me. The sentiment was in my scrap box of images, think it was a dollar stamp from ages ago? Looks like I stamped it with one of those Kaleidacolor stamp pads? Humm I wonder if I still have one of those pads stuck in a drawer somewhere?! If so It's probably all dried up. Anyway I just inked around the edges of the image to match my pretty plaid paper. It's from a mixed 6x6 plaid paper pack from Stampin Up. I finished it off with some die cut leaves that i already had made an added a few sequins. I also added some shimmer to the leaves but that doesn't show up in the picture. Such a pretty and crisp Fall card! Thinking it's meant to be a Cone flower but went with the Brown Eyed Susan's look this time around. Here is a card I did in the past more like the Cone Flower . This sketch is also a recycled one for me too apparently? Here is the card I made a few years ago with it. Finally got the motivation to get back in the craft room for a bit. Found some sketches to get me going and this is one of them. This card came together quickly at least for me! I had recently picked up a pack of glittery pumpkins and spider webs at Tuesday Morning's and they worked perfectly with this sketch. I did back them with contrasting card stock to make them "pop" more! The pumpkin is raised up with some foam tape. I added the rhinestones for a bit more bling. The bat punch was a last minute add to cover up a ink smudge. Only stamping i did was on the back the card and I still managed to get it one the card front. Oh well i think it's a nice ''oops''?? I like this layout for a quick card now I need to look thru my stash and see what else I might have that will work? Okay that's it for now but should be back again tomorrow just need to write up a couple more posts for the cards! Today I have a 2nd card to share with you using the current Sketch Saturday sketch. Not as happy with this one though? Thinking it's the greenery I used? Wish I had a holly type branch that would have maybe looked better? Guess I could have used bling too but thouht I already had enough of that on this card! The cupcake is a felt sticker. I sure am going to miss AC Moore stores, they had the cutest stickers/embellishments like this for all the different holidays that were perfect for cards. The sentiment was from a sheet of stickers that i got from Hobby Lobby. Only ink on this card is the sponging around the circle of the cupcake. I know I am! Sure has been a warm summer here in south central PA. When I first saw this sketch I thought of pumpkins! Since I needed to get a start on my fall cards this was perfect! The pumpkins are made with 2 different size SU oval punches. The center of the pumpkins is popped up and the edges are inked. The rest was done with various dies in my stash. I heat embossed the sentiment. I find myself making more and more cards using mainly dies. They are so much fun to play around with. Okay that's all for now, stay cool!

~ Challenges ~

Sketch Saturday ~ Week #621

Crafty Sentiments ~ Anything Goes

Through The Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Janice Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02591571481018248529noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3066026455961137429.post-87910796798598935222020-08-04T18:45:00.001-04:002020-08-04T18:45:00.132-04:00Silver Anniversary

Hello! Today I have a sparkly and shiny card to share with you. Not that you can tell from my picture. I used a shimmery white and silver paper. The heart die was one I borrowed from a friend. Thought it would make pretty Anniversary and Wedding cards! I added a pretty button to the flower center and finished it of with a sparkly foil butterfly/sticker. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver. Turned out so pretty! Here's hoping this post actually turns out? Apparently blogger has changed formats or something because i'm having issues getting the pictures where I want them? Man do I ever HATE change?!! So if this looks different than usual you'll know why! Think I figured it out but had to resize pictures to get it how I want it? This is my take on the current CAS(E) sketch! I recently bought this Impression Obsession die on clearance at my local stamp store and thought it worked perfectly with the sketch. Found the perfect scrap of paper in my bin to pair with it. Hopefully I'll have time to play with this sketch again. Hello! Finally made time to get inky....well sorta?!! As the only ink is the sentiment I guess I should say get crafty instead?! Anyway...As soon as I saw the current Tuesday Morning sketch I KNEW what I wanted to do! Perfect time to break in this new Sunflower die set that I got from Stampin Up! I did get the matching stamp set too but didn't use it on this card. I went with non traditional colors, I think I'll get more use of the set doing that? But believe me there will be Fall cards and colors used too in the future! I added a button tied with some ribbon to my Sunflower center. Finished it off with a strip of the same ribbon on the sentiment panel. I'm happy with the way this one turned out! I see lots more "Sunflower" cards in my future! Hoping to have more time in the craft room again. My youngest son and his puppy have headed back to school! Puppy's take a bit more work that cats, just sayin!! ;-) That's it for now thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Challenges are listed below.
Edited to add.....Well so much for scheduling my post last night. Didn't realize the freshly Made Sketch was ending so soon. Didn't make it here till late today and missed out on posting to that challenge.

Hello! Today I have a Twofer of sorts?! Sketch challenges are my favorite and go to challenges. I found 2 almost identical! Only the sentiment placement was different. Here is the card I came up with! I did add an extra layer......just couldn't do another plain (CAS) card base two days in a row?? LOVE how this one turned out. The Cherry Blossom paper is just soooo pretty?! It came in a flower pack of card stock from JoAnn's. I added a branch die cut (think it's Memory Box?) and a beautiful sparkly die cut/sticker that I got at the Dollar Tree.Think there are like 9 on the sheet in different colors? Man if you haven't been to a Dollar Tree lately they sure have come a long way in their crafty section! Those $1's add up there quickly too! ;-) The background is a Stampin Up embossing folder called Coasted Weave. Added some bling and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by. Challenges used are listed below.
Hello!! Today I have a CAS card to share with you! Let me tell you how VERY hard this was for me to NOT add another layer instead of just the plain cream card base!! This came together pretty quickly. Great way to show case the pretty sparkly K&CO DSP not that you can tell at all in my picture. I made my butterfly accent with some Prima type flowers. I used the center flower stem to make the butterfly antennas. Embossed my sentiment and added some rhinestones and called it done! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Challenges used are listed below.
Hello! Really cutting it to the wire with this one! Loved this sketch when I first saw it and I knew that I wanted to do "Band-Aid's" for it. Not sure it quite turned out like I imagined but that's what happens when you wait to the last minute! Sorry for the bad picture maybe I can get a better one in the daylight tomorrow outside?! My Newton's Nook images are heat embossed colored with copics and fussy cut out. Added them to the top of some Stamps of Life die cut Band-aid's. Think it makes for a cute get well card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! Challenges are listed below.
Hello! When I saw this sketch I knew I just had to play along! Sketch challenges are my favorite. A great way to get the MOJO going. I'm cutting it close to the wire on getting it posted in time though. Love the card making but the blogging part I still struggle with?! Anyone else like that?? The other day I spent some time stamping off some new stamps i have bought the past few months. This was one of them. Thought it would work out great with this sketch. The jar is embossed and hard to tell from the picture but I went with a light pink tint for the jar. Finished it off with the button. I did add the birthday banner thought it was a nice touch?! Thanks so much for stopping by hopefully I'll be back again soon. Have a great day!!
Hello! Wow what a year 2020 is turning out to be??! Been almost 2 months since my last post. Just getting back into my stamp room this past week. Didn't intend to have that break! My husband ended up in the hospital. They say he had a mini/silent stroke. They expect a full recovery with time and therapy. So thankful it could have been so much worse. That and now dealing with the COVID-19! Thoughts and Prayers to everyone as we get through these difficult times.

When I saw the pretty new poppy stuff in the Stampin Up mini catalog I just had to get some of it! Waited a bit to long though and the dies were out of stock but so hoping they come back in and I can still order them?!! If and when they do I just may have to add a 2nd pack of the BEAUTIFUL paper too! Think I have made about 7 or 8 with it already? Manly just using the paper and sentiments. Can only imagine what I will make if I can get those poppy flower dies too. Anyway thanks for stopping by. If all goes well maybe I'll be able to post a bit more often now again. Challenges I used for my card are listed below. See you again soon!
