Hello!! I meant to get this card uploaded Wed. night put time got away from me and I didn't get it done! I used my new MS Button Heart punch. I really like this punch it has two little slots that are perfect to put the ribbon thru. I'm planning on using it on baby cards too. I'll list the challenges this card is for. Little Gem

Hello!! Today I have a Birthday card to share with you. I used one of my Pink Gem Designs stamps called Little Gem with Flowers. He actually comes with a basket of roses too but I masked them off to fit with Mercy's sketch! I also followed a recipe challenge with this card. We were to us 3 pieces of DP, 1 piece of ribbon, 3 flowers and 3 buttons. For the flowers I added 2 primas to go along with the rose in Gem's mouth. I outlined the rose with my Sakura clear stardust pen and it's sparkly! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!! It's been so cold here and we had a couple more inches of snow again last night. Thought I'd make a winter card today! Today's card uses the sketch and product challenge over at Limelight to use buttons! It's also for Sparkle's 2010 Christmas card challenge #5 to use buttons (Winter cards are included). The Belli Challenge this week was to use Glitter or Rhinestones. I used Star Dust stickles for snow at the penguin's feet and on his earmuffs! The Pink Elephant challenge this week was a recipe challenge. We were to use 2 Designer Papers, 3 Buttons and snowflakes. Thanks for stoppin by!

Spring Daisies

Hello! I saw the color inspiration challenge at Die Cuts R Us and thought Spring!! I used the sunflowers from the Gina K Signs of Autumn and turned then into Daisies!! I used the sketch challenge from Stamp TV and the Clearly Inspired challenge to use brads. The Daisies are sparkly although you can't tell that from my photo, I used my Sakura Clear Pen all over the flowers. I also used a CB folder on the DP layer. I think this would make a nice Mother's day card. Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Boy Blue

Hello!! I noticed this week there are alot of challenges involving the word "New" for the New Year I guess, so I thought it would be fun to see how many I could do on this card! I used a new stamp that I've had for awhile and never used. It's by Inkadinkado. I cut out my image with the Label 4 nesties. I love the Label nesties but the sizes are so far apart for layering so for my brown layer I traced the die and cut it out by hand so that it would be a closer fit. To help hide my hand cutting I used my distressing tool on it and several of the other layers as well, to give it that worn look. I also sponged/distressed some brown ink on my DP layer as well. I wrapped some twine around it an added a button tied with some gingham ribbon. I added some pearls in the one corner to finish it off. I used a Quickutz folder on the bottom blue panel. I wish I had some of this same DP in Pink and Brown to make a little girl card but the pink version uses black instead and I'm not sure about a Pink & Black baby card??!! Hello! Today's card uses the Sweet Stop sketch challenge. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I had to do it, I had the perfect DP to match the sketch!!! The colors were also perfect for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to use something new and the option to use their blog colors!
