Gingham Blues

Hello! Cutting this one to the wire. Ready for Spring? I sure am!! The weather lately sure makes it hard for my outdoor photos, had to sweep the snow of my rock wall first! When I saw the Tuesday Morning sketch this past week I knew I had to play along. My card uses a gorgeous 3D flower sticker. Have you been to the Dollar Tree recently? They sure have some NICE craft stuff. These stickers get me every time. You'll be seeing a lot more in the future I'm sure. Added a heat embossed sentiment from my bag of ready to use extras and a couple of mini white brads. Pretty quick and simple but oh so pretty i think?! Thats all for now thanks for stopping by and hope to see ya again soon!! Challenges are listed below.

Birthday Corgi

Hello! Finally made some time to get back in the craft room! Been a little busy lately with my new fur babies!! We got 2 new kittens the day before Thanksgiving. Meet Butterball and Buttercup! I forgot how much fun kittens are, been like 11 years since we had babies in the house. I've been soaking up all the kitten snuggles I can get. I'm posting some of the pictures from when they were about 2 months or so old. Will post more recent ones soon. They are growing so fast! Aren't they adorable??!

Okay now to the real reason your here, my card! I borrowed this adorable Corgi set from a friend. It's from the Stamps of Life. It has the cutest sentiments to go along with it. I didn't use one of them on this card but you will see them in the future! I borrowed this set because I have a niece who LOVES Corgi's and I want to make her some special cards. She'll be 18 soon and she graduates this year too. I heat embossed my image and than colored it with my Copic markers. It's been ages since i colored with them. I'm going to have to get my refills out as some of my markers are getting a little dry. Seems I have been on a mainly die cut only card making mode lately? Felt good to color again although I felt a bit rusty! I fussy cut the image and added a few punched balloons with some pretty bakers twine to match. I think it turned out cute?  Always good to add some "boy" cards to the stash. That's it for now, thanks so much for stopping by! Hopefully I'll stay in the grove and keep making and posting cards! Sunflower Blues

Hello! Finally made time to get inky....well sorta?!! As the only ink is the sentiment I guess I should say get crafty instead?! Anyway...As soon as I saw the current Tuesday Morning sketch I KNEW what I wanted to do! Perfect time to break in this new Sunflower die set that I got from Stampin Up! I did get the matching stamp set too but didn't use it on this card. I went with non traditional colors, I think I'll get more use of the set doing that? But believe me there will be Fall cards and colors used too in the future! I added a button tied with some ribbon to my Sunflower center. Finished it off with a strip of the same ribbon on the sentiment panel. I'm happy with the way this one turned out! I see lots more "Sunflower" cards in my future! Hoping to have more time in the craft room again. My youngest son and his puppy have headed back to school! Puppy's take a bit more work that cats, just sayin!! ;-) That's it for now thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Challenges are listed below.

Cherry Blossom Wishes

Edited to add.....Well so much for scheduling my post last night. Didn't realize the freshly Made Sketch was ending so soon. Didn't make it here till late today and missed out on posting to that challenge.

Hello! Today I have a Twofer of sorts?! Sketch challenges are my favorite and go to challenges. I found 2 almost identical! Only the sentiment placement was different. Here is the card I came up with!  I did add an extra layer......just couldn't do another plain (CAS) card base two days in a row??  LOVE how this one turned out. The Cherry Blossom paper is just soooo pretty?! It came in a flower pack of card stock from JoAnn's. I added a branch die cut (think it's Memory Box?) and a beautiful sparkly die cut/sticker that I got at the Dollar Tree.Think there are like 9 on the sheet in different colors? Man if you haven't been to a Dollar Tree lately they sure have come a long way in their crafty section! Those $1's add up there quickly too! ;-) The background is a Stampin Up embossing folder called Coasted Weave. Added some bling and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by. Challenges used are listed below.

CAS Birthday

Hello!! Today I have a CAS card to share with you! Let me tell you how VERY hard this was for me to NOT add another layer instead of just the plain cream card base!! This came together pretty quickly. Great way to show case the pretty sparkly K&CO DSP not that you can tell at all in my picture. I made my butterfly accent with some Prima type flowers. I used the center flower stem to make the butterfly antennas. Embossed my sentiment and added some rhinestones and called it done! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Daisy Jar

Hello! When I saw this sketch I knew I just had to play along! Sketch challenges are my favorite. A great way to get the MOJO going. I'm cutting it close to the wire on getting it posted in time though. Love the card making but the blogging part I still struggle with?! Anyone else like that??  The other day I spent some time stamping off some new stamps i have bought the past few months. This was one of them. Thought it would work out great with this sketch. The jar is embossed and hard to tell from the picture but I went with a light pink tint for the jar. Finished it off with the button. I did add the birthday banner thought it was a nice touch?! Thanks so much for stopping by hopefully I'll be back again soon. Have a great day!!

Peaceful Poppies

Hello! Wow what a year 2020 is turning out to be??! Been almost 2 months since my last post. Just getting back into my stamp room this past week. Didn't intend to have that break! My husband ended up in the hospital. They say he had a mini/silent stroke. They expect a full recovery with time and therapy. So thankful it could have been so much worse. That and now dealing with the COVID-19! Thoughts and Prayers to everyone as we get through these difficult times.

When I saw the pretty new poppy stuff in the Stampin Up mini catalog I just had to get some of it! Waited a bit to long though and the dies were out of stock but so hoping they come back in and I can still order them?!! If and when they do I just may have to add a 2nd pack of the BEAUTIFUL paper too! Think I have made about 7 or 8 with it already? Manly just using the paper and sentiments. Can only imagine what I will make if I can get those poppy flower dies too. Anyway thanks for stopping by. If all goes well maybe I'll be able to post a bit more often now again. Challenges I used for my card are listed below. See you again soon!

Ladybug Ladybug

I'm baaaaaaaack! See if  i can go for another full week of blog posts? Today's card use's the stamp that I think started this crafting hobby aka addiction for me? Pretty sure this was the first one of MANY Penny Black stamps that are now a part of my collection. I just LOVE them! The Hedgehogs and Cats being my most favorite. Sad thing is.....have nowhere near used them all yet. Please insert the blushing emoji here!! Some day I should count and see how many I have???

For my card I used a new embossing folder that I picked up back in October at the Stamp show. Not sure how well you can see it but it's ladybugs. It's by Darice and is it ever cute!! My image is colored with a combo of Copics and Prisma Color Pencils. I just can't seem to get  Hedgehog or House Mouse fur to look good with markers. I added Glossy Accents to the ladybug and some rhinestones to the sentiment banner. The ribbon isn't part of the sketch put i just felt it needed something to tie it all together?!! Love how it turned out and it is one of my top favorite color combos.

Okay that's it for me today! Hoping to hit the stamp room a bit yet tonight? Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week! Challenges are listed below/

Cupcake Bear

Hello!! Well I DID It!! One full week of blog posts?! I even have one partially ready for tomorrow. I've been on a roll with card making the past 2 weeks. The challenges have really helped inspire me. I make a lot more cards than I post but thanks to challenges it really pushes me to keep at it.

I just had to make another card with this Birthday paper while I had it out on my table. I found this adorable teddy bear in my bin of already colored images that matched it perfectly! It's a digital freebie from over at Beccy's Place. It's colored with Prisma color pencils. I added Stickles to the icing and Glossy Accent to the nose and paw pads. The image is fussy cut out and mounted onto a embossed circle. Finished it off with another paper bow (really going to miss this borrowed punch when I have to return it!) and some enamel dots. Isn't it cute?!! Love how it turned out!!

Well that's it for now, if all goes well I'll be back again tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Challenges are listed below.

Sugar Sugar

TGIF!! Today I have another quick card to share with you. My card today uses some very sparkly cloth type stickers that I got from Hobby Lobby. The picture doesn't do them justice for how glittery they really are. I used 2 different embossing folder to give it some added texture. I left off a sentiment cause I think this card could go 2 different ways?? Either a Valentine or Birthday card? Anyway it was quick and easy and I didn't use yellow?!! LOL  Hope you have a great weekend and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with another card? That would make a full week of posting for me?! Thanks for stopping by I LOVE reading your comments! Birthday Balloon

Hello! I have a quick and easy card to share with you today! No stamping involved, seem to be having a lot of those lately! When I first saw the TSOT sketch I thought I'd make a baby card? But that I saw the Double D Challenge to use balloons and another idea formed. My Balloon is a actually a very detailed sticker. I've been using more and more stickers on my cards lately too?? They make such pretty and detailed (3D) ones now. This is not the card I had planned to share today so it looks like my streak of using yellow will continue!! LOL  Okay thats it for today thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Daisies

Hello, I'm back!! 3rd day in a row? It's been awhile since that's happened! And it would appear I'm on a roll with the color yellow also?? Maybe I'm just trying to brighten up the dreary days of winter?? Although we have been have a pretty mild Winter here so far? Now that I say that.....look out!!

My card today uses a Bugaboo digi. Isn't this little guy just the cutest??! It's colored with Copics and cut out with a Paper Smooches tag die. Topped it off with a paper gingham bow that I made with a SU punch that I borrowed from a friend. Man I should have bought that one! That's it for today maybe I'll be back again tomorrow?! Fall Birthday

Hello! Today I have a Fall Birthday card to show you. Nothing says fall to me like Mums! I'm partial to the rust and/or burgundy colored ones.  I know they have them out at Easter time too but it's just not the same, at least not to me. I prefer Daffodils and Tulips then! Anyway on to my card. It uses a stamp from the former Paper and Such company, the sentiment is from SU. I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. After mounting my image to the scalloped oval I decided to emboss them together. Love the look/texture this gives. It's kinda hard to see in my picture but I added a rhinestone to the center of the mum. The sketch and challenges I used are listed below. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Your Day

Hello! I've finally made a card using Forrest Guy from Unity. When I was looking thru my box of already colored images to see if I had anything to fit the Green and Brown color challenge I came across this guy! He's colored with Copics and cut out with a wonky stitched rectangle. I
took a few liberty's with the sketch?! I tilted the panel it just looked better that way to me and instead of a bow I added a button. I thought it looked more masculine that way?! Anyway I'm pleased with how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! Challenges are listed below.

Happy Birthday Slugger

Hello! Today I have CAS (for me anyway) card to share with you. When I came across this sketch I immediately thought baseball diamond so I dug through my box of already colored images and found this Penny Black cat. It's colored with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I used a stitched die and added little metal embellishments in the corners to kinda make it look like bases. I added a star under the baseball to make it stand out a bit more and to tie in with the star embossing folder I used for the background. Finished it off with a Happy Birthday banner. I kept wanting to add more cause of all the white space but I walked away and left it be! That's it for today thanks so much for stopping by and I plan to be back tomorrow with another card! Birthday Wishes

Hello! Today I have another cute birthday card to share with you. I'm in need of quite a few more as my stash is low specially "boy" ones. I used an adorable dig stamp from Bugaboo. This was my first time playing with Nuvo drops......lets just say I need a lot more practice! Anyone have any tips I'd be glad to hear them. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon.

Cosmic Newton

Hello! The other week I'd asked a friend if she knew of a stamp/set with an "out of this world" and similar type sentiments. I have these neat "space" type stickers I picked up at the Dollar Tree that I wanted to use to make cards but didn't have any sentiments. That lead to her letting me borrow this adorable Cosmic Newton set and me making this card. There will be "space" sticker cards coming soon too! I've been on a bit of a crafting roll this past few weeks. The challenges I'm entering are listed below. Thanks for stopping by and if all goes to plan I'll be back again tomorrow!

Birthday Wishes

Hello! It's once again new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It just so happens to be one of my sketches again this week but this one has lots of layers!! My favorite! ;-) I used Papertrey Button Bits stamp set for my card. I really need to use this set more cause I do have a TON of buttons to use up! I softly sponged around my die cut to give the appearance of the balloons being in the sky. It's a fun and festive card and I love how it turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has come up with. Challenges are listed below.

When I saw the sketch I knew I just had to play along. I think the hardest and longest part of it was picking out my papers/colors?? This card screams Spring/Summer to me. Woodland Creatures

Hello! Today I have a masculine card to share with you, using a digi stamp that I bought from Graphique off Etsy years ago. I usually just use this as a B&W but did give it a bit of color this time round. I love the realistic look of the image. The papers are from a new "masculine" Paper Studio pad I picked up on one of my many trips to Hobby Lobby recently. That darn HUGE 75% off clearance they did in stages in the paper craft section got me. It's kinda sad though as now the stamp section is going to be so small. :-(  But at least there was new paper pads I guess??! I shiny metallic paper came from the stamp show that comes to the area annually. I finished it off with some Jute ribbon and twine. Love how this one turned out. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch. List of challenges is listed below.
