Sunflower Blues
Hello! Finally made time to get inky....well sorta?!! As the only ink is the sentiment I guess I should say get crafty instead?! Anyway...As soon as I saw the current Tuesday Morning sketch I KNEW what I wanted to do! Perfect time to break in this new Sunflower die set that I got from Stampin Up! I did get the matching stamp set too but didn't use it on this card. I went with non traditional colors, I think I'll get more use of the set doing that? But believe me there will be Fall cards and colors used too in the future! I added a button tied with some ribbon to my Sunflower center. Finished it off with a strip of the same ribbon on the sentiment panel. I'm happy with the way this one turned out! I see lots more "Sunflower" cards in my future! Hoping to have more time in the craft room again. My youngest son and his puppy have headed back to school! Puppy's take a bit more work that cats, just sayin!! ;-) That's it for now thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Challenges are listed below.

Peaceful Poppies
Hello! Wow what a year 2020 is turning out to be??! Been almost 2 months since my last post. Just getting back into my stamp room this past week. Didn't intend to have that break! My husband ended up in the hospital. They say he had a mini/silent stroke. They expect a full recovery with time and therapy. So thankful it could have been so much worse. That and now dealing with the COVID-19! Thoughts and Prayers to everyone as we get through these difficult times.
When I saw the pretty new poppy stuff in the Stampin Up mini catalog I just had to get some of it! Waited a bit to long though and the dies were out of stock but so hoping they come back in and I can still order them?!! If and when they do I just may have to add a 2nd pack of the BEAUTIFUL paper too! Think I have made about 7 or 8 with it already? Manly just using the paper and sentiments. Can only imagine what I will make if I can get those poppy flower dies too. Anyway thanks for stopping by. If all goes well maybe I'll be able to post a bit more often now again. Challenges I used for my card are listed below. See you again soon!

Puppy Dog Eyes
Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I recently picked up this older used SU set called For Father, perfect for those masculine cards! This particular image was done with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used some jute ribbon and brads for my first band/strip. The second one is some card stock scraps. I was happy with the end results! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week.

5th Avenue Floral
Hello! It's new sketch time over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This week it's one of my sketches, a pretty simple and easy one. Hope you can come play along. The flowers are from a SU set called 5th Avenue Floral. I colored them with my Copics, hand cut them and finished them off with some pearls. The leaves are from a Spellbinder die, the sentiment is from a Verve set. I added extra texture with the help of 2 of my favorite embossing folders CB Swiss Dots and SU Square Lattice. Happy with this one! Thanks so much for stopping by ans be sure to stop by and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week.

Love
Hello! Today I have a Valentine to share with you. I recently came across this SU die used for $10 and just had to grab it up! The heart is cut out of a pearlescent white lightweight cardstock. It really shimmers although you can't really tell in my photo. I cut out extra flowers to give it more dimension and added pearls to them. The "love" die cut is from a Peachy Cheap online deal. I was going to add my ribbon/bow across the top of the card but than I thought if I but it over the heart it kinda looked like a box of Valentine candy?! Anyway I was very pleased with how this one turned. Thanks so much for stopping by! List of challenges is listed below.

Thinking of You
Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches it was my turn to pick a favorite sketch from this past year. I went with this lovely sketch by Melissa. Love all the layers and those little flags. It was the perfect sketch to showcase some of this lovely new designer paper that I just got from Stampin Up called, Petal Garden. My sentiment is from Justrite and the leaves surrounding it are from Paper Smooches. I wanted to make this a Mother's day card but didn't have the right size sentiment to fit the die cut I had chosen. Love the colors so pretty! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT had made this week.

Window Kitty
Hello! I've been wanting to make one of these window cards FOREVER!! I'm ashamed to say I've had the die for a LONG time (years even maybe) and I've finally broken it out and played. I don't think that I'll ever be able to use this die without adding a kitty in the window though?! Looks naked without one! I love how this turned out. I want to try adding "curtains" sometime but thought it was too much with the tree for this card? Will have to come up with a non Christmas theme too. Thanks so much for stopping by an have a great day! Challenges are listed below.

Gears and Cogs
Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's a nice and easy one this week. It looked like a good one for a vintage style card so that's what I went with, gave me the perfect excuse to use some of the Gears & Cogs I bought off Amazon recently! I paired it with this Stampin Up motorcycle image, added some distress inks and also distressed my edges. Perfect masculine card! Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to stop by an check out what the rest of the DT has come up with this week.

Thanks a Latte
Today I have another card to share with you for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog hop. I just love this cup image from the Stampin Up Perfect Blend set, which I sadly now seem to have misplaced. :-( I fear it may have fallen in the trash and got thrown out?! I'm glad I had stamped up a bunch of images when I first got the set to play with and paper piece. Will be sad when those are all used up. I paired it with the Tim Holtz coffee cup embossing folder. Embossed on Kraft cardstock and than ran my white ink pad over it. Used some scraps of paper, ribbon, and twine off my table to finish it off. The sentiment on the cup is from a different company and at the moment I can't think of the name? Picked it up at a stamp show. Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch!

Sweet Hydrangea
Hello and Happy Tuesday!! It's time for another great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches and this is my take on it. I deviated a bit this week but I love how it turned out. Found this image when digging thru my already colored images box and decided to go with it. It's from the Because I Care stamp set from Stampin Up. The papers are Paper Trey. Thanks for stopping by an be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created with this weeks sketch.

Stockings Were Hung....
Hello! It's Tuesday so it's time for Tuesday Morning Sketches! This time round it's the annual anything goes and it will run for 2 weeks. Hope you can join us! Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has made.
My card uses some stockings that I stamped an punched out. It was a SU stamp set and punch that I had borrowed from a friend awhile back. Thinking I really should have bought these when they were out because they make really cute baby cards too with a little creative cutting! I used my brick embossing folder to try to make it look like my stockings where hung at a fireplace. Challenges I'm entering are listed below. Thanks for stopping by an have a great day!

Winter Birthday
Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another fun sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! My card uses a combo of stamps. The cardinal is a small stamp I found in the $spot at Michael's the other year. The Happy Birthday frame around it is a Stampin Up stamp I found in the used bin at a local stamp store. Paired them together to make a nice winter/masculine type birthday card. Make sure to check out the other DT cards also. List of challenges is below. Thanks for stopping by!

Give Thanks
Hello!! Today's card uses my favorite tree stamp of all time! It's a Stampin Up classic. I used different colored inks to make it a fall card instead of the more traditional green tree. I love how it turned out. I over layed it with a Verve scripture stamp, this was a past Mojo sketch also. Challenges I'm entering are listed below. Thanks for stopping by an have a great day!

Bundle of Joy
Hello! Today's card uses the Freshly Made Sketch #253. It's also for the One Crazy Stamper Sept. challenge which is Babies. Good challenge for me as I am low on Baby cards! This card is very CAS and White for me!! I turned some SU stockings into a pair of baby booties. Wish I would have bought this stamp set an punch when it was out! Thankfully stamping friends like to share their toys an I was able to borrow a set an play with it. Thanks for stopping by an have a great day!
