Silent Night

Hello! Today I have another "die cut" creation to share with you. I so enjoy making these scenes come to life so to speak. I used another one of my alcohol inked backgrounds as my starting point. The little town scene is a Your Next Stamp die, the Carolers and Peace are by Impression Obsession. I added some stickles to the snowy hills and finished it off with some sparkly snowflake stickers that I found ay Hobby Lobby. I was very pleased with how this one turned out. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Meowy Christmas

Hello! I had time to squeeze in 1 last challenge over at Beccy's Place Month long Holiday card challenge. My card uses an adorable cat image from Repeat Impressions. I colored it with my Copic markers. The bell image in the corner is from the former TAC. I colored over the 2 bells (one on the hat) with a gold glitter marker but it doesn't show to well in my picture. The die cut is from a TH set and the "bling" is nailheads. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

December 25

Hello! My card uses the Quilted Deer digi, it's a freebie from Beccy's Place. I used the pre-colored version today. I paired it with another one of my "scraps" trees. I embossed and embellished it with some little gold nailheads. I thought this would make a nice baby's 1st Christmas card?! Didn't have any stamps that say that so just went with December 25. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back again soon!

Ho Ho Ho

I'm back it's a 2 post day! I have a quick and easy card to share with you. Another no stamping involved card (except maybe for a sentiment later on in the inside?) just various dies and an embossing folder. I'm finding that I'm making more and more cards like this. It's so much fun to play around with die cuts and see what scene's you can come up with. I'm loving how this one turned out! Thanks for stopping by, Challenges are listed below.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My sister had an awesome meal planned as always. Now that my Thanksgiving cards should have all arrived at there destinations I think it's safe to show them. I fell in LOVE with this gorgeous Fall paper that I found at Hobby Lobby this year! I'm sure you'll be seeing lots more of it in the future as I bought extra sheets!! I think it's the touch of teal that caught my eye? Something different and eye catching I think?! I found the Thanksgiving die on Amazon and thought it went great with the paper. The leaves were made with a embossing punch that I found on clearance at AC Moore's. I just ran a matching color ink pad over the leaves to make them pop. I reversed the colors on the cards as I couldn't decided which way I like it best?? Do you have a favorite? I forgot to take a picture of the inside. I lined it in cream and sponged around the edges in yellow. Added a narrow strip of that beautiful paper along the bottom and put one of the embossed leaves on top. I was super pleased with these. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Missing You

I'm back!! Two posts in one day??! It might snow or something?? Oh wait it did that yesterday?!!  Anyway decided to just bite the bullet so to speak and get caught up on some blog posts/challenges. Watching some Christmas movies on Netflix while doing it to make it a bit more enjoyable?! Anyway onto my card. My background was created using the Wildflower background stamp by Rubbernecker Stamps. I stamped and embossed in white on pink cardstock. Than I used some TH pink distress ink to enhance around the flowers and make them pop more. The die cut is the Chloe flower from Memory box. The stitched tag sentiment is from the Unity "Wish with Your Heart" set. Added a twine bow and some nailheads and called it done. I'm really loving this card and the color combo. Challenges are listed below.

Merry Christmas

Hello! Does anyone else struggle with writing blog posts?? I make WAY more cards than I ever post because writing just isn't my thing. I feel like I keep writing the same thing post after post. But I so LOVE doing challenges so here I am! Ok so remember the other day when I showed you the Stitched Snowflakes card with the glittery background? I mentioned playing with other colors and how different it looks with the same piece of lace? Well here is one of those pieces turned into this sparkling beauty! This time I used True Red and Cool Diamond. This looks just like the piece of lace I used. The detail really shows. The great thing about this glitter is that it doesn't make the mess like most glitter does. Use coffee filters to catch the glitter (to pour the excess back in the jar) and a dry Swiffer cloth cleans the rest up in a jiff. I kept this card pretty simple and let that background shine! The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and I topped it off with some glittery Holly stickers that I found at Hobby Lobby. Wish you could see the sparkle this card has! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Christmas Caroling

Hello! Today I have yet another Christmas card to share with you! This one is made completely with dies and no stamping. Last year I had made up a bunch of these trees using up some scraps. So I took one and started "decorating" it. I found some Christmas music paper and added the carolers and called it done. It's been years since I went Christmas Caroling this brings back memories! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Berry, Berry Christmas!

Hello! Nothing brings a smile to the face like an adorable Penny Black stamp?! This cute little Hedgehog is no exception. I colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and added some Glossy Accents to the berries.  I cut him out with a wonky stitched die and added some brads in the corners. Found the perfect scraps of holly and corrugated paper in my stash. Love how it turned out, makes me smile!! :-)  Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check back again soon! Season's Tweetings

Greetings from chilly Pennsylvania! Wind chills have us in the teens this evening. Winter is just around the corner so we better get used to it I guess? Sure do miss the long daylight hours specially when it comes to trying to get decent photos. Was cutting it close today so sorry if my photo is a bit off. Anyway onto my card! I've used a digi stamp that I believe was a freebie from High Hopes? I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I sponged some distress ink around the edge of my image and than added stickles on top. I placed it on a Lacey circle die cut and wove ribbon in thru the holes and added a double bow. For the finishing touch I put a blinged up snowflake in the corner. I wanted to add the sentiment "Season's Tweetings" and thought I had a stamp set with that saying but if I do it must be hiding?! Or maybe I just dreamed it? It's now on my wish list to buy and add later. Ok that's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stitched Snowflakes

Hello! Today I'm sharing the other crafty project that I've been playing with. Ultra Fine Glitter! When I went to the stamp show back in October the Elizabeth Craft Designs booth was demoing and doing make and takes with this awesome stuff. I was hooked! If you've never seen or used it I suggest you look up their videos using it on You Tube. My background above that looks like a piece of lace was created using the glitter, a piece of lace and a large piece of double sided tape attached to a piece of cardstock.

I wish you could see how shimmery and gorgeous this is in real life?! My pictures just don't do it justice. The colors I used on this piece are Fire Opal and Rich Red. I've played with other color combos and it's amazing how different just that 1 piece of lace can look?! I'm sure you'll be seeing more soon. I finished my card off with some Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes topped with some bling. The sentiment was in a pack of holiday dies I bought off of Peachy Cheap deals. I'm very pleased with how this card turned out, so classy and elegant! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Frosty the Snowman

Hello! I had some time to play last night and today. I've had this snowman image in my colored and ready to use box for years! Have no clue who makes it? I used to have the stamp but can't find it at the moment to check? I decided to fussy cut him out and make a little scene/card for him with my stitched hill dies. I will say my coloring has much improved so don't look to closely at him. Searched through all my Christmas paper pads and found this string of lights paper that I thought went well. Added some snowflakes and bling and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope to be back again tomorrow! Challenges are listed below.

Alcohol Inks

Hello!! It's been awhile since I last posted! Didn't mean to be MIA that long. I've been being crafty though and one of the things I've been doing is playing with alcohol inks! It can be a bit messy but it's fun! Guess I could wear gloves but where's the adventure in that?! You never know what you might end up with and no 2 are exactly alike. I now have a small pile of alcohol inked backgrounds in many color combos to use. There is another new thing I've been playing around with too but we'll save that for another time.

It's one of my favorite times of the year, the month long Holiday cards challenge over at Beccy's Place! It's a great way to get those Christmas cards made so come play along. Day #1 challenge is to use the Letter A for your inspiration, I choose Alcohol Inks! I got to use one of those backgrounds I made! This one reminded me of a starry night sky. It's hard to get a good picture but it also has some silver metallic ink in the background. I paired it with some Silver mirror card. It was hard to get a good picture, you can even see the reflection of the pink shirt I was wearing. It looks so much better in person. I used multiple dies on this card and several were borrowed from a friend so don't know who they all are. Thanks so much for stopping by and if all goes well I hope to have lots more this month!

Fall Birthday

Hello! Today I have a Fall Birthday card to show you. Nothing says fall to me like Mums! I'm partial to the rust and/or burgundy colored ones.  I know they have them out at Easter time too but it's just not the same, at least not to me. I prefer Daffodils and Tulips then! Anyway on to my card. It uses a stamp from the former Paper and Such company, the sentiment is from SU. I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. After mounting my image to the scalloped oval I decided to emboss them together. Love the look/texture this gives. It's kinda hard to see in my picture but I added a rhinestone to the center of the mum. The sketch and challenges I used are listed below. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Your Day

Hello! I've finally made a card using Forrest Guy from Unity. When I was looking thru my box of already colored images to see if I had anything to fit the Green and Brown color challenge I came across this guy! He's colored with Copics and cut out with a wonky stitched rectangle. I
took a few liberty's with the sketch?! I tilted the panel it just looked better that way to me and instead of a bow I added a button. I thought it looked more masculine that way?! Anyway I'm pleased with how it turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! Challenges are listed below.

Happy Birthday Slugger

Hello! Today I have CAS (for me anyway) card to share with you. When I came across this sketch I immediately thought baseball diamond so I dug through my box of already colored images and found this Penny Black cat. It's colored with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I used a stitched die and added little metal embellishments in the corners to kinda make it look like bases. I added a star under the baseball to make it stand out a bit more and to tie in with the star embossing folder I used for the background. Finished it off with a Happy Birthday banner. I kept wanting to add more cause of all the white space but I walked away and left it be! That's it for today thanks so much for stopping by and I plan to be back tomorrow with another card! Hello! Today's card uses a Penny Black stamp called Warm and Fuzzy! I Love this stamp for Anniversary/Love type cards. I colored it with my Copics and fussy cut it out. I used the sketch below but flipped it to work better with my image. The embossed panel in the back uses a SU folder and I don't remember what it's called? I've been using it a lot this week. Cosmic Newton

Hello! The other week I'd asked a friend if she knew of a stamp/set with an "out of this world" and similar type sentiments. I have these neat "space" type stickers I picked up at the Dollar Tree that I wanted to use to make cards but didn't have any sentiments. That lead to her letting me borrow this adorable Cosmic Newton set and me making this card. There will be "space" sticker cards coming soon too! I've been on a bit of a crafting roll this past few weeks. The challenges I'm entering are listed below. It's called Floral Bra and is available in both colored and uncolored form. I've been a bit to intimidated to try coloring this one on my own yet! Happy Fall Y'all!

Hellooooooooo!! Long time no see. :-)  I've been enjoying my break (and enjoying a new hobby maybe I'll share/blog about it later?!) but feeling the push to get my stock/stash of cards built back up. When I saw this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch it inspired me and I knew it was a good one to start making some Fall cards with. I have another idea rolling around in my head too but not sure if i'll get it done in time or not?! This card uses various dies and the sentiment is from a SugarPea Designs set. It felt good to make some cards again! Sorry I haven't been commenting on your blogs lately but I've been peeking in quickly here and there. I haven't really been on the laptop much at all this summer. Thanks so much for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back again soon!

Kindness

Hello! Today I have some news to share with you before I get into this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch/Challenge. This will be my last post as Design Team member. I have decided after 18th months it's time to step down from the Tuesday Morning Sketches . I've had a great time and want to thank Melissa and all the girls for having me it was blast! I'll still be around playing in some challenges here and there I'm sure.

Ok onto the challenge. This week we are changing things up! Instead of a sketch we are having a Blank Canvas Challenge. I have posted a picture of the challenge below. You can find out all the little details over on the Tuesday Morning Sketches page.

To create my background.....I used 3 different TH Distress inks, an acrylic stamping block, water misting bottle on watercolor paper. Than I stamped my Inkadinkado  boat image and embossed it in white. Love how the white spots (around my sentiment) on my water coloring background kinda look like clouds. Added a gold base under my watercolor panel and some gold metal accents to finish it off. Really pleased with the end result! Thanks so much for stopping by and hope to see all again soon. Be sure to check out the rest od the teams creations.
