For Someone Special

Hello! I was looking thru my stash for something to make some quick cards with and came across some tags I had made a few years ago and never used! This one ended up working perfectly for the Inlay Die Cut challenge I saw over on SCS. Love how this one turned out! The color of the rhinestones matches MUCH better than the photo shows. Not sure why they look so dark?  Anyway that's it for now thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

CAS Christmas

Hello! I have a quick and CAS card to share with you today. I so struggle with these. It looks so plain to me and I keep wanting to add more/something?! I did add some gold pearls as a dot to the "i" and the center of the large star at the top. It does look so much better than the picture shows though. That's it for now but I'm working on more cards so check back again soon!

Buffalo Plaid Christmas

Hello! Well It's that time of year again.....Holiday challenges!! I'm having a very slow start but still hope to get a few done! The weather has been unseasonably warm and sunny here and I just can't stay inside and miss out on it. I did make a short visit to the craft room to throw together this quick CAS card! I broke down and bought the SU moose punch and just had to be sure to use it. It makes for great masculine cards don't you think??! Keeping this one short and sweet. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back again this week with a few more?! Challenges are listed below.

Christmas Cupcake

Hello! Today I have a 2nd card to share with you using the current Sketch Saturday sketch. Not as happy with this one though? Thinking it's the greenery I used? Wish I had a holly type branch that would have maybe looked better? Guess I could have used bling too but thouht I already had enough of that on this card! The cupcake is a felt sticker. I sure am going to miss AC Moore stores, they had the cutest stickers/embellishments like this for all the different holidays that were perfect for cards. The sentiment was from a sheet of  stickers that i got from Hobby Lobby. Only ink on this card is the sponging around the circle of the cupcake. That's it for now thanks for stopping by come back again soon!

Snow Face

Hello! I have to say that I LOVE today's card!!! I have been wanting to make a snowman face card for ages and I finally did it!! I used a stitched circle die for the face, the eyes were done with part of the SU Owl punch and the nose was free hand cut. For his scarf I used a strip of paper and the tails were a part of the SU Bow maker punch. I ran my TH Picket Fence Distress Ink pad over my embossed snow panel to make it look more like snow. I left a sentiment off this one as I think it can be used for more than just a Christmas card?! Think I'll have to play with other color combos and make more of these?! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!! Challenges are listed below.

O Christmas Tree

Hello! Back with another quick Christmas card. Seems like here of late I've been doing less and less actual stamping on my cards?! Well the sentiment is sometimes stamped but I've even been using more and more dies for that too. Anyway this card uses another 3D type die cut sticker. It's so pretty and sparkly. Thanks for stopping by hope you have a great weekend! Challenges are listed below.

Cozy Christmas Cheer

Hello! Todays card came together rather quickly, Love when that happens! I've had these sweater embossed panels laying on my desk for ages and was glad to finally use one. The theme of my card just sort of fell together from there. My cup of Cocoa is a puffy 3D sticker. The picture doesn't do it justice but I was running out of daylight. Darn time change! Thanks so much for stopping by! List of challenges is below.

Plaid Christmas

Hello!!! Well I knew I needed a bit of a blogging break but i certainly didn't think it would end up being almost a year long one?!  I have been making some cards all along just haven't been doing any challenges or blogging. But it's November and time once again for Beccy's Place, Month of Holiday Cards Challenge and I just can't pass up the opportunity to participate again this year! I enjoy it so much.

Okay unto my card! The bear silhouette is a older wooden Darcie's stamp. I couldn't get a solid enough image for my liking with just ink so i touched it up with my copics. Fussy cut it out and glued it onto a embossed oval. Thought the boot print embossing and Buffalo Plaid went great with the image but it just wasn't very Christmassy so added some holly around his neck? Not sure that it looks right but.....will have to do! I think i will do another card minus the holly and have it be a masculine Birthday day card?! Always need more of those in my stash!

Okay thats it for this card thanks so much for stopping by! I plan to be back again soon. List of challenges is listed below. PS I used the Freshly Made Sketch but it ended before i could get this card posted! Blogger was giving me a fit earlier today when I was trying to upload the photos??

Silent Night

Hello! Today I have another "die cut" creation to share with you. I so enjoy making these scenes come to life so to speak. I used another one of my alcohol inked backgrounds as my starting point. The little town scene is a Your Next Stamp die, the Carolers and Peace are by Impression Obsession. I added some stickles to the snowy hills and finished it off with some sparkly snowflake stickers that I found ay Hobby Lobby. I was very pleased with how this one turned out. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Meowy Christmas

Hello! I had time to squeeze in 1 last challenge over at Beccy's Place Month long Holiday card challenge. My card uses an adorable cat image from Repeat Impressions. I colored it with my Copic markers. The bell image in the corner is from the former TAC. I colored over the 2 bells (one on the hat) with a gold glitter marker but it doesn't show to well in my picture. The die cut is from a TH set and the "bling" is nailheads. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

December 25

Hello! My card uses the Quilted Deer digi, it's a freebie from Beccy's Place. I used the pre-colored version today. I paired it with another one of my "scraps" trees. I embossed and embellished it with some little gold nailheads. I thought this would make a nice baby's 1st Christmas card?! Didn't have any stamps that say that so just went with December 25. Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back again soon!

Ho Ho Ho

I'm back it's a 2 post day! I have a quick and easy card to share with you. Another no stamping involved card (except maybe for a sentiment later on in the inside?) just various dies and an embossing folder. I'm finding that I'm making more and more cards like this. It's so much fun to play around with die cuts and see what scene's you can come up with. I'm loving how this one turned out! Thanks for stopping by, Challenges are listed below.

Merry Christmas

Hello! Does anyone else struggle with writing blog posts?? I make WAY more cards than I ever post because writing just isn't my thing. I feel like I keep writing the same thing post after post. But I so LOVE doing challenges so here I am! Ok so remember the other day when I showed you the Stitched Snowflakes card with the glittery background? I mentioned playing with other colors and how different it looks with the same piece of lace? Well here is one of those pieces turned into this sparkling beauty! This time I used True Red and Cool Diamond. This looks just like the piece of lace I used. The detail really shows. The great thing about this glitter is that it doesn't make the mess like most glitter does. Use coffee filters to catch the glitter (to pour the excess back in the jar) and a dry Swiffer cloth cleans the rest up in a jiff. I kept this card pretty simple and let that background shine! The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and I topped it off with some glittery Holly stickers that I found at Hobby Lobby. Wish you could see the sparkle this card has! Thanks so much for stopping by.

Christmas Caroling

Hello! Today I have yet another Christmas card to share with you! This one is made completely with dies and no stamping. Last year I had made up a bunch of these trees using up some scraps. So I took one and started "decorating" it. I found some Christmas music paper and added the carolers and called it done. It's been years since I went Christmas Caroling this brings back memories! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Berry, Berry Christmas!

Hello! Nothing brings a smile to the face like an adorable Penny Black stamp?! This cute little Hedgehog is no exception. I colored him with my Prismacolor pencils and added some Glossy Accents to the berries.  I cut him out with a wonky stitched die and added some brads in the corners. Found the perfect scraps of holly and corrugated paper in my stash. Love how it turned out, makes me smile!! :-)  Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check back again soon! Challenges are listed below.

Season's Tweetings

Greetings from chilly Pennsylvania! Wind chills have us in the teens this evening. Winter is just around the corner so we better get used to it I guess? Sure do miss the long daylight hours specially when it comes to trying to get decent photos. Was cutting it close today so sorry if my photo is a bit off. Anyway onto my card! I've used a digi stamp that I believe was a freebie from High Hopes? I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  I sponged some distress ink around the edge of my image and than added stickles on top. I placed it on a Lacey circle die cut and wove ribbon in thru the holes and added a double bow. For the finishing touch I put a blinged up snowflake in the corner. I wanted to add the sentiment "Season's Tweetings" and thought I had a stamp set with that saying but if I do it must be hiding?! Or maybe I just dreamed it? It's now on my wish list to buy and add later. Ok that's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Stitched Snowflakes

Hello! Today I'm sharing the other crafty project that I've been playing with. Ultra Fine Glitter! When I went to the stamp show back in October the Elizabeth Craft Designs booth was demoing and doing make and takes with this awesome stuff. I was hooked! If you've never seen or used it I suggest you look up their videos using it on You Tube. My background above that looks like a piece of lace was created using the glitter, a piece of lace and a large piece of double sided tape attached to a piece of cardstock.

I wish you could see how shimmery and gorgeous this is in real life?! My pictures just don't do it justice. The colors I used on this piece are Fire Opal and Rich Red. I've played with other color combos and it's amazing how different just that 1 piece of lace can look?! I'm sure you'll be seeing more soon. I finished my card off with some Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes topped with some bling. The sentiment was in a pack of holiday dies I bought off of Peachy Cheap deals. I'm very pleased with how this card turned out, so classy and elegant! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Frosty the Snowman

Hello! I had some time to play last night and today. I've had this snowman image in my colored and ready to use box for years! Have no clue who makes it? I used to have the stamp but can't find it at the moment to check? I decided to fussy cut him out and make a little scene/card for him with my stitched hill dies. I will say my coloring has much improved so don't look to closely at him. Searched through all my Christmas paper pads and found this string of lights paper that I thought went well. Added some snowflakes and bling and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by and hope to be back again tomorrow! Challenges are listed below.

Alcohol Inks

Hello!! It's been awhile since I last posted! Didn't mean to be MIA that long. I've been being crafty though and one of the things I've been doing is playing with alcohol inks! It can be a bit messy but it's fun! Guess I could wear gloves but where's the adventure in that?! You never know what you might end up with and no 2 are exactly alike. I now have a small pile of alcohol inked backgrounds in many color combos to use. There is another new thing I've been playing around with too but we'll save that for another time.

It's one of my favorite times of the year, the month long Holiday cards challenge over at Beccy's Place! It's a great way to get those Christmas cards made so come play along. Day #1 challenge is to use the Letter A for your inspiration, I choose Alcohol Inks! I got to use one of those backgrounds I made! This one reminded me of a starry night sky. It's hard to get a good picture but it also has some silver metallic ink in the background. I paired it with some Silver mirror card. It was hard to get a good picture, you can even see the reflection of the pink shirt I was wearing. It looks so much better in person. I used multiple dies on this card and several were borrowed from a friend so don't know who they all are. Thanks so much for stopping by and if all goes well I hope to have lots more this month!
