Delightful Dahlia

Hello! Well I broke down and bought the dies to go with my Delightful Dahlia set from Papertrey Ink! I got a chance to play with them this weekend, Love them! I don't do CAS cards very well but I'm trying! I think this set will help with that. The beautiful flower does all the work! Although I did have to add some layers and not just use a card base, this is still very CAS for me and I'm pleased with it! The beautiful lattice ribbon was given to me by one of my SCS buddies Stacy (JBgreendawn). Thanks so much Stacy, love this ribbon! I used my scor-pal to emboss some lines on the right side of my card. List of challenges for this card is below. Thanks for stopping by!

Butterfly Wishes

Hello! I decided to have another go at Nina's challenge. We were to use her card for inspiration, you can find more info on her blog Crafting in Croatia. This time I stuck more with her layout and color combo. These ribbon roses are so fun to make. You can find the tutorial here. I decided to use one of my crocheted butterflies instead of a punch or stamp. I love the soft and feminine feel of this card, I think I might have a hard time parting with this card! Does anyone else ever have that problem? I know it's really silly cause I can always make another one just like it but... anyway hope you like it. List of other challenges and supplies used is below. Ribbon Roses

Hello! I saw that Nina was having another challenge on her blog Crafting in Croatia. We are to use this card for our inspiration, we could go with the layout, colors or the rose she had made. I decided to try an make a rose, well they were so easy and fun to make I ended up with several! I followed the tutorial here to make the roses. I noticed that the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger was a vase of gorgous roses so thought I'd combine the two along with the CAS challenge on SCS which is a sketch challenge and the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge which is flowers! I used my Scor-pal and Cutter Bee Bug to make my BG, thought it kinda made it look like a trellis. Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy reading everyone's comments!

Cuppa Joe

I've made my first "coffee" card. I am not a coffee drinker don't even like the smell of it but I can drink tea by the gallons specially Ice Tea or better yet McD's Sweet Tea! Anyway I figure just because I don't like coffee doesn't mean I can't make cards with coffee on them for people who do like it! I think this BasicGrey Granola DP goes great with this kind of image, could be used as a masculine card too. I used the sketch from Stamp TV for my layout. It's also for the Just Add Ink Challenge which this week is Just add....Ink! Thanks for stopping by!

It is also for the BasicGrey challenge which is Tutti Frutti. I had this apple image from JustRite Stamps already colored and cut into an oval shape laying on my desk! I used a piece of BasicGrey DP from my Offbeat pad. I lightly sponged over everything for a more vintage look. Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy reading all your comments.
