Retro Baby Card

Hello! Today I have a retro baby card to share with you! I'm sure they still make this toy in a more modern form but I can remember my brother having one of these when he was little! Along with the phone that had moving eyes when you pulled it across the floor! The original 1st "eye" phone (seen those memes all over Facebook!).  Guess I'm showing my age now! Anyway this was a fun card to make an a good way to use up scraps. I used my SU word window punch to make my "rings". added lots of texture with the 3 different embossing folders. Chickadee Ornament

Hello! What a Gorgeous day we are having here in south central PA! Sunny and 75, hummm isn't that a country song by Joe Nichols??!! LOL Anyway I went out to take a picture of my card an think I will have to go back out again after I finish this blog post. I was planning to make cards today but this is likely to be the last 80 degree day for a long while. Kinda hate to waste it so to speak by being indoors. Maybe I'll go sit an watch all the chickadee's at my feeders an read a book instead?!!

My card uses on of the chickadee's from Impression Obsession. They have several different ones, think I own like 3 of them? Maybe I'll dig out the other two an make it a trio of Christmas Joy! Christmas Peace

Hello! Today I have a pretty clean and simple card to share with you! I left my embossing folder do most of the work. I just added a sentiment from Paper Inspirations called Christmas Peace, some nail heads and some acrylic type snowflakes that I had found on clearance in the Christmas section at Walmart last year. Red, White and Black has always been one of my favorite color combos. It's so classy and elegant looking. Challenges I am entering are listed below. Hello! It's Tuesday so that means its time for another great sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches! We are sponsored this week by our very own Debbie with a Christmas stamp set from Graphic 45 called Twas the Night Before Christmas. Thanks Debbie!

I have lots of texture going on with my card this week! I added a close up picture to show all the detail. The poinsettia is from Gina K's Year of Flowers. It is embossed in gold on pink card stock an then sponged with some Tim Holtz Spun Sugar ink. I added some gold pearls to the center to finish it off. Layered it on top of some burlap, pink twine and some MS branch punches. The Noel sentiment is a wooden tag that I had found last year at Target in the $1 spot. I Love how this one turned out. Hello! Today's card uses a Beccy's Place digital image. It must be a retired one because I couldn't find it in her store or in the freebies link on her blog? This picture doesn't do it justice.... the colors match perfectly in real life. Hello!! Today's card uses my favorite tree stamp of all time! It's a Stampin Up classic. I used different colored inks to make it a fall card instead of the more traditional green tree.
