Thinking of You

Hello! This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches it was my turn to pick a favorite sketch from this past year. I went with this lovely sketch by Melissa. Love all the layers and those little flags. It was the perfect sketch to showcase some of this lovely new designer paper that I just got from Stampin Up called, Petal Garden. My sentiment is from Justrite and the leaves surrounding it are from Paper Smooches. I wanted to make this a Mother's day card but didn't have the right size sentiment to fit the die cut I had chosen. Love the colors so pretty! A day at the Fair!

Hello! I just had to do another card using this fun sketch from the Justrite Firday challenge. I used my favorie and most used Justrite set called Autumn Blessings. This card took me a bit longer than it should have I was having a hard time finding papers that looked right together! I ended up using some Washi tape (the black and white polka dots) to make my one banner. I added a little crocheted lace with my gingham ribbon to finish it off. This card makes me think of a prize winning day at the county fair with those banners behind the apples! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Hello! Hope you are keeping warm today, it sure is COLD here in south central PA! Today i have a card for you that i made using the Justrite Friday Challenge sketch. I really think i need to invest in a set of banner dies because cutting them by hand is almost impossible to get them even. I am happy with how my card turned out though. I think this has become a new favorite color combo. With these MME papers it has a nice vintage/shabby chic kind of feel to it. I should have added some lace with the ribbon maybe?? My picture really doesn't do it justice, winter and lack of good light make for poor photos. :0(  Anyway thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Colors of Fall

                                    

Hello! It's the 3rd Saturday of the month so that means that it's sketch with a spin time at The Sweet Stop! The spin this time round is textures.I flipped my sketch today to fit my image. I used lots of different textures today, silky smooth ribbon, twine, buttons, and embossing! I decided I need to get a head start on my fall cards as my stash from last year is very low. It'll be here before we know it! Fall Friendship

Hello! Today's card uses the cracked glass technique. This is only the 2nd time that I have ever done this technique. I will say it goes much better when you have the right embossing powder!! Autumn Blessings

Hello! I know it's a bit early for fall cards but it will be here before we know it! The Just Us Girls Challenge was a sketch this week. The sponser of this weeks challenge is Justrite stamps and if you use Justrite stamps you get entered in a bonus drawing as well! Since I don't have any circle shaped Justrite stamps I used the center of one of the Autumn Blessings oval stamps and made my own! I really enjoy making Fall cards! JustRite Pansy

Hello! Today's card is for the Justrite Friday challenge. We were to use circles and the sketch provided. I only have oval justrite stamps but some of the centers can easily be cut as circles! I used the Bonus Pansy center that came with the Wood Stamper Oval 1-3/4” x 2-5/16” with 15 pt Special Occasions Font Set. I thought about adding a sentiment in the upper right corner but think I'll leave it blank for now an add a sentiment when I need a card for a special occassion! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello from sunny PA! It's just beautiful out and supposed to be even warmer the next 2 days! Today's card is using the Card Patterns sketch. I always like sketchs that use ovals. It is also for the BasicGrey challenge which is Tutti Frutti. I had this apple image from JustRite Stamps already colored and cut into an oval shape laying on my desk! I used a piece of BasicGrey DP from my Offbeat pad. I lightly sponged over everything for a more vintage look. Thanks for stopping by, I enjoy reading all your comments.

The Pumpkin Patch

Hello! I'm Loving my Autumn Blessings set from Justrite stamps. Today's card is another triple challenge card. There are so many wonderful challenges out there and not enough time to do them all that I try to combine them where I can! First I used the sketch challenge over on Eat Sleep Stamp . This is the first time I've done one of her challenges. Found it this week when one of my SCS buddies card was featured. Congrats Carrie!! This week marks a year of challenges and she is having a very nice prize if she gets 52 people to play this week. You can win a $52 shopping spree!! So go on over and check it out.
