Summer time Favorite!

Hello! Nothing says summer like a slice of cold watermelon! YUM! I had to have another go at the CAS(E) sketch.  I always struggle with CAS cards but this one i really like!! I used a old favorite  PTI mini stamp set and die .  The melons they are nice and sparkly as i finished them off with a Spectrum clear glitter brush. Added some bling and called it done. Keeping this post short and sweet. See ya again soon!

Christmas Caroling

Hello! Today I have yet another Christmas card to share with you! This one is made completely with dies and no stamping. Last year I had made up a bunch of these trees using up some scraps. So I took one and started "decorating" it. I found some Christmas music paper and added the carolers and called it done. It's been years since I went Christmas Caroling this brings back memories! One in a Melon

Hello and Happy Spring?!!? Right? Even though it feels more like winter lately and they say we have more snow on the way on Saturday with as much as 6inches possible in places?! Anyway I'm in the mood for WARM weather and so I went for a summer card today! And nothing screams summer like a cold slice of watermelon!! I have had this adorable Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps digi printed out for ages....ok years actually and finally got around to coloring him with my Copic markers. Went hunting for a sketch to use and over at Sketch Saturday it was players choice to go thru their past sketches! How fun is that? Birthday Wishes

Hello! It's once again new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It just so happens to be one of my sketches again this week but this one has lots of layers!! My favorite! ;-) I used Papertrey Button Bits stamp set for my card. I really need to use this set more cause I do have a TON of buttons to use up! I softly sponged around my die cut to give the appearance of the balloons being in the sky. It's a fun and festive card and I love how it turned out! Hippity Hoppity

Hello! I'm getting a jump start on my Easter cards today. Only stamping is the sentiment. I just love this little bunny die from Papertrey Ink, it makes the cutest cards! I added it to a stitched circle die cut, my favorite way to add stitching on a card. I'd never be able to sew a straight with a real machine! Ha! Now I think I may need to add to my collection with some stitched cloud dies?! Would have been cute on this card for sure. Anyway thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! Butterfly Wishes

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means its time for a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's a quick and easy one this week. This one came together rather quickly with stuff that I had laying around on my desk. The butterfly came in a pk of 3 from M's ages ago, have them in several colors and finally used one. I added some rhinestones to it. The sentiment and scallop die edge are from PTI. Might have to make this one again in other color combos and sentiments? Blue Christmas

Hello! I've been playing in my bag of tiny designer paper scraps this week, I save everything! Been trying to get better and throw some things out but.......it's hard. Anyway I traced the outline on my PTI Christmas Tree die onto a scrap of card stock and randomly placed my paper strips down and it snowballed from there! Ended up with like a dozen tress in various colors. Now to come up with different ways/ideas to use them. For this particular tree I embossed it and then add stickles to the embossing, finished it off with some rhinestones. Cut out some stitched hills (die's I bought off Amazon) from some shimmery card stock so that it looked more like snow. Added a 2nd plain embossed tree for a little depth, and a sparkly snowflake in the corner and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend! An Apple a Day

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches! I'll admit I was leery when I first saw this sketch. Took me awhile to come up with a plan but I have to say that I'm very happy with the end results! The stamps are PTI and the die cut is from a Peachy Cheap set/deal that I got recently. The embossed background is an old SU favorite of mine called Square Lattice, LOVE this folder. Think Spring

Hello! Spring keeps trying to arrive early here in PA(although not this weekend!!) so I thought I'd make a daffodil card since mine started blooming last week! I posted a picture below. The Freshly made sketch this week was perfect for larger images. I had this Daffodil image (from the former Paper and Such company) in my already colored pile so I decided to fussy cut it out and place it on some DP. I tend to avoid chevron patterns but thought it looked really good paired with the daffodils??! I added a sentiment from PTI an randomly placed some rhinestones to finish it off. I'm happy with how it all turned out! What do you think?? Well off to try an make another card yet today can't believe the weekend is almost over! Challenges are listed below.

Apple Time

Hello! Nothing says summer to me like watermelon, Love it!! Just got these stamps in the mail and I had to play. The ribbon matches perfectly IRL. I have such a hard time getting good pictures of cards with alot of white. I just love how this card turned out, think I'll have to make a couple more. Hello! It's gonna be a Beautiful day here in South Central PA, supposed to get up to 70! Not supposed to last but I'll take it! When I saw the Limelight sketch this week I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to dig out my neglected Heartfelt Creations flower stamps and play! I even made enough for 2 cards but I'll change the sentiment on the second card and possibly emboss the white panel?? Happy Friday!! Today's card uses PTI's Blooming Button Bits set. Thanks again Julie for letting me borrow this set! I went for a more Vintage look with this card not sure if I'm really Lovin it but trying to do some different styles! I outlined the image with a Gold Sakura gel pen to give it a little pop. I used some vintage lace and then added a thin gold trimmed ribbon and a made a triple bow with my Bow-Easy, Love that thing!! Thanks so much for stopping by I really do appreciate it.
