Happy Birthday Slugger

Hello! Today I have CAS (for me anyway) card to share with you. When I came across this sketch I immediately thought baseball diamond so I dug through my box of already colored images and found this Penny Black cat. It's colored with a mix of Copics and Prismacolor pencils. I used a stitched die and added little metal embellishments in the corners to kinda make it look like bases. I added a star under the baseball to make it stand out a bit more and to tie in with the star embossing folder I used for the background. Finished it off with a Happy Birthday banner. I kept wanting to add more cause of all the white space but I walked away and left it be! That's it for today thanks so much for stopping by and I plan to be back tomorrow with another card! Play Ball

Hello! It's the last flash back week at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Next week we will be back with all new sketches. It was Melissa's pick this week. I'll admit I struggled with this sketch both times I did it. I even bought a die for it this time! But I have to say that I LOVE how this turned out! When I was playing around with what I wanted to do all of a sudden I thought baseball cause that white panel sorta reminded me of a home plate??!! Anyway I had this baseball laying on my desk that I made ages ago and paried it with some stitched stars and a few star brads and called it a success! Think I will be remaking this one again? Maybe trying a different sport next time? I always struggle with "boy" cards and I think this makes a perfect card for that. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Birthday Superstar

Hello! It's been awhile since I made anything with any of my adorable Cocoa images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Found this one when I was going thru my box of already colored/cut stuff and thought it would go perfectly with this new embossing folder I picked up at stamp show last weekend. It's from a UK company (can't remember the name) but the folder is called "football"! ;-)  I used my Sweet 'n Sassy grass die with it for a Quick and Easy card. I made/printed the sentiment with my computer and cut it out with a PTI cloud die. Softly went around the edges with some Distress Ink. Make's for a fun kids card. Hello! I'm back again with another Seize the Birthday challenge card! This time round it's a masculine card. I like this one much better than my one for the girl birthday earlier. Maybe it's because of the kraft card base and not all that white space??!! The soccer ball is popped up for some dimention and the seniment is computer generated. Hello! Time for another fun sketch from The Sweet Stop! This month we are doing a blast form the past and revisiting some of the older sketches. This week it's sketch #26. It's also the 3rd saturday of the month so that means it's time for sketch with a spin! This weeks spin is recycle. One Lucky player will receive a $10 gc to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!! I went with a masculine themed sports card this week, for my recycling I used up scraps for my punches and sentiments. Hello! Wow a whole week has went by and I haven't posted a thing! It was a rainy and dreary week here, spent most of my crafty time reading. It's time for Sketch with a spin this week at The Sweet Stop. This weeks spin is masculine, perfect time to get started on those Father's Day cards! I used a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Cocoa digi for my card. I flipped the sketch so I could use my DP's to kinda look like the American Flag, stars at the top corner, stripes in the bottom. Hello! Today's card uses another new Cocoa digi being released on the 1st from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I colored with my copics an attempted to draw some grass....I need more practice! But overall I'm happy with my card, I think it will make a great masculine Birthday or even Father's Day card. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello!! Today I have a sneak peak at some new digi's soon to be released from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, they will be available Dec 1st. I cut Cocoa out and popped him up, then added some grass for him to play soccer in! I softly sponged the panel behind him for some sky.
