Apple of My Eye

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for a brand new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I took a few liberties with the sketch this week! Flipped it for one and used this large cut out apple image from the former Flourishes stamp company called Apple of My Eye. It is colored with my Prisma Color pencils. I used a SU embossing folder for the background. It kinda looked like/reminded me of apple cores??!! My picture doesn't due it justice. My phone is starting to crap out on me and camera/picture quality is not near as good as it used to be. Guess maybe I've dropped it one to many times?! Just hate the thought of getting/learning a new phone but it soon will be necessary I fear as it's starting to randomly shut off too. Stitched Violets

Hello! Well I seem to have finally found my mojo over the weekend. I think these new dies I got might have helped?!! I've been wanting these wonky stitched dies by Avery Elle for a long while. Finally caved an got them, darn Amazon Prime strikes again! ;-) I used Flourishes Sweet Violets on my card. They were heat embossed and colored with my Prisma pencils. I used the Your Next Stamp sketch. I keep it mostly white (which I hardly ever do!) and just added a touch of gingham. Finished it off with some buttons/twine. I like it, think it really makes the stitching pop?! Thanks so much for stopping by. Challenges are listed below.

Lilacs

Hello! It's time for another great sketch from The Sweet Stop! It's the third Saturday so that means it's sketch with a spin time. The spin this time round is dies or punches. I just love all the different shapes and layers on this sketch! I wanted to use some of the New DCVW Chateau Lavender Stack 12x12 pad that I just got. It's so pretty and reminded me of Lilacs so thats what I went with for today's card! I just Love the smell of Lilacs.One of my favorite things about spring! I really like how this card turned out! Sweet Violets

Hello! Today I have used my Sweet Violets set from Flourishes. They grow wild here in my yard, one of the many things I love about living in the woods! I heat embossed my image before coloring with my copics. I softly sponged around the image while it was still in the die. It is raining here again so I've had to make do with an indoor photo today. Sure hoping all these April showers bring May flowers! ;0) List of challenges and supplies used are listed below. Birthday Iris

Hello! Well I didn't quite make it to 4 days posting in a row...started reading a book and got into it so much that I couldn't put it down!

For today's card I used one of my fav's from Flourishes, the Siberian Iris. It is so much fun to color! I heat embossed it and cut it out. The center of the flower is raised up on pop dots. I added a little banner for my sentiment. I think this could also be used as a sympathy card?? Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Cardinal

Hello! I thought this pretty Cardinal would make a great Winter Birthday card! I colored him with my copic markers and added some Glossy Accents to the berries. I main image is popped up. Signs of Spring

Hello! I'm ready for spring so I have dug out my Flourishes Signs of Spring set and made a couple of cards. Love this daffodil!! I cased this card that I found in the SCS gallery. The flowers are cut out and popped with 1/16" and 1/8" pop dots for dimension. I chalked around the flower on the top card and sponged on the bottom one. I used my Bow Easy to make the triple bow and topped it with a button. I can't decide which card I like better??!! List of challenges for this card is below. Lace Tulip

This is my card for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge. This week we were to use frames. I used my nesties Labels 4 to make my frame.The frame is popped up with 3D dots. I found a bunch of old lace, buttons, and hat pins at a yard sale the other week and I'm having fun trying to use it on my cards. I Love how this one turned out.

Baja Butterflies

Today I have a set of double challenge cards for you. First I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch, it's also for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge which this week was hosted by Silke! We were to make a square card. My cards are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 so that they will still fit in the A2 envelopes. I LOVE how these turned out! Thanks to my friend Denise for letting me play with her Cuddlebug and Butterfly die this past weekend! I've held off buying a Cuddlebug and using my old sizzix machine for everything but I think I'm about to cave because I need that die(and the topnote one ) but they won't fit in my sizzix. I like both cards but I think the one on the left is my favorite. I used the mini flourishes from my Siberian Iris set on my sentiment panel. I used my swiss dots folder on the large butterflies.
