Gingham Blues

Hello! Cutting this one to the wire. Ready for Spring? I sure am!! The weather lately sure makes it hard for my outdoor photos, had to sweep the snow of my rock wall first! When I saw the Tuesday Morning sketch this past week I knew I had to play along. My card uses a gorgeous 3D flower sticker. Have you been to the Dollar Tree recently? They sure have some NICE craft stuff. These stickers get me every time. You'll be seeing a lot more in the future I'm sure. Added a heat embossed sentiment from my bag of ready to use extras and a couple of mini white brads. Pretty quick and simple but oh so pretty i think?! Thats all for now thanks for stopping by and hope to see ya again soon!! Challenges are listed below.

Daffodil Days

Hello! Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you. It helped that the adorable little House Mouse image was already colored. It's actually been awhile since I've colored anything? I tend to go thru spurts where I set and color or take stuff with me to color if I'm going to be somewhere that I have to sit and wait. Anyway it's nice to have a box of all ready colored images on hand and ready to go! I used Avery Elle Wonky Stitched dies to cut out my image and the background paper. Added some rain drop embellishments over top the image and some rhinestones to the corners. Topped it off with a paper bow. And even today's card has a touch of yellow!! LOL But......thinking tomorrow's won't?!! ;-) Anyway that's it for today and thank you for stopping by!

Stitched Violets

Hello! Well I seem to have finally found my mojo over the weekend. I think these new dies I got might have helped?!! I've been wanting these wonky stitched dies by Avery Elle for a long while. Finally caved an got them, darn Amazon Prime strikes again! ;-) I used Flourishes Sweet Violets on my card. They were heat embossed and colored with my Prisma pencils. I used the Your Next Stamp sketch. I keep it mostly white (which I hardly ever do!) and just added a touch of gingham. Finished it off with some buttons/twine. I like it, think it really makes the stitching pop?! Thanks so much for stopping by. Challenges are listed below.

Gingham & Lace

Hello! Before I get started on the details of my 3rd and final card as the April Guest Designer at Great Impressions. I just wanted to say a great Big Thank You for this wonderful opportunity to be a Guest Designer! I’ve had a lot of fun playing with your cute stamps!

For my card today I have used the beautiful Spring Floral Jars. I heat embossed the image in White on Kraft cardstock and colored it with my Copics. I've always wanted to try this and I'm very pleased with how it turned out! I found this lacy paper in my stash and thought it went perfectly with this image. I paired it with some Gingham and twine an finished it off with some pearls. The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment is also heat embossed but in Black so that it stands out more. I'm very happy with this card. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to play along with this month's April Shower's Theme Challenge that's still going on.

Hello! Today's card uses the cute Bugaboo image called Flower Bird! I colored it with my copics and softly sponged the edges to give it a little more dimension. The whole image layer is raised with foam tape. I left off a sentiment so it could be used for many different occasions. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check back tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch!

April Showers.....

.....bring May flowers. Hello!! I have some very happy news to share today!  Back in February I won the Great Impressions monthly challenge and part of that win is getting to be a guest designer for a month. Thanks so much for the wonderful opportunity! Can't wait to share my creations with everyone.

My first card for Great Impressions is for their April Challenge. The theme is "April showers bring May flowers." My card uses the very ADORABLE Duck with Umbrella along with the April Showers sentiment. I paper pieced the boots and umbrella plus I added some glittery glue to the water puddle. My papers and cloud die cuts are from PTI. I also added some Cloud 9 Rain Dots on
rain drops. The Inspiration photo and prize for the month are pictured below. Thanks so much for stopping by an I hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge this month!

Spring has Sprung!

Hello! It's Tuesday so its time for another new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. My card today uses a couple of cute duck digi's I bought back in December from Doodle Pantry before they closed. I couldn't pass up their 75% off going out of business sale. Sure will miss their cute stuff though. Not sure I like my card?  I picked my paper based on the sketch photo.......but thinking that paper might have been better paired with a large sentiment image instead?! Oh well it is what it is. Can't Love them all I guess! Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created this week.

Teapot Daffodils

Hello! Thinking Spring even though a big snow storm is possibly headed our way! My card uses a colored digi from Beccy's Place. I think it may be retired because I couldn't find in currently in the store. This is my 1st time using a pre colored image. I printed it out ages ago to use as a guide to color my own image but decided to cut this one out an just use it! Found this chevron paper that matched and it went from there. The embossed panel is the SU shell folder. Added some buttons with Baker's Twine an called it done. I think it's a very cheerful card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Flower bird

Hello! Today I have a bright an cheerful card to share with you. This little Flower bird from Bugaboo Stamps is a lot of fun to color. I went with a more Spring/Easter look for this one but have started coloring another with the bird done in blue. Maybe for a birthday card sometime?!! I wish I would have went with plain circle brads instead of the flower ones. I think its a bit to flowery but I already had it glued in place an it was to late to change them. I think this is a great sketch for using up little scraps. Thanks for stopping by an be sure to check back tomorrow for the new Tuesday Morning Sketch! Challenges are listed below.

Think Spring

Hello! Spring keeps trying to arrive early here in PA(although not this weekend!!) so I thought I'd make a daffodil card since mine started blooming last week! I posted a picture below. The Freshly made sketch this week was perfect for larger images. I had this Daffodil image (from the former Paper and Such company) in my already colored pile so I decided to fussy cut it out and place it on some DP. I tend to avoid chevron patterns but thought it looked really good paired with the daffodils??! I added a sentiment from PTI an randomly placed some rhinestones to finish it off. I'm happy with how it all turned out! What do you think?? Well off to try an make another card yet today can't believe the weekend is almost over! Challenges are listed below.

I "Heart" Cats!

Hello!! Today's creation is another all die cuts and/or punches card! The background is a Darcie embossing folder that I water colored. The bench is spellbinders, the cats and birds are Memory Box/Poppy Stamps, the grass is Sweet 'N' Sassy Stamps, and the butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch. Flower punch is unknown. I added a few rhinestones to my flowers and butterflies. Love how this card turned out. Playing with die cuts to create scenes is so much fun! Thanks for stopping by. Challenges are listed below.

Lilac Bear

Hello! One of my favorite things in spring is Lilacs! I just love the smell of them. My Mom has a bush and cuts me a vase full every year. With all the warm weather we've been having here in south central PA they are liable to be blooming early this year! Hopefully they don't get froze out if the nice weather doesn't stay.

My card uses a older wooden "Gruffies" stamp called Lavender Bouquet by Stampabilities. Which it now seems is sold by Stampendous as a cling mount and called Lilac Bear??! Either way it's a cute stamp! I colored it with my prismacolor pencils. I used my most used go to embossing folder swiss dots. Love that folder! Mine is getting well used so I bought a back up for when this one gives out an eventually breaks(it's getting very weak at the seam). I added a MFT Banner die cut topped with a button an tied with a bakers twine bow. I also used a PTI Doily die. This card makes me smile! Thanks for stopping by an have a great day! Favorite Peep

Hello! My husband and I went out to dinner the other night and Hobby Lobby just happened to be across the street. I was able to talk him into going over! I usually save those trips for when I'm by myself so I don't have to rush! ;-)  This adorable little chick stamp just had to come home with me, isn't he cute??! I paper pieced the shell and paired him with this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. Although mine are never as CAS as theirs. I did end up putting the sentiment on a banner. I just didn't have a small one that worked for under the bottom panel, my Easter sentiments are very limited! Guess that means I can shop right?!! LOL Ok that's all for now hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow, enjoy the rest of your weekend! List of challenges are listed below.

Bunny and Chick

Hello!! Today's card uses this most adorable Bunny and Chick from Whipper Snapper Stamps. I once again used the yummy plaid paper from Lawn Fawn. I intended this to be an Easter card but I think it would also make a cute Baby card too?? I colored up a couple of these images while I was at it so I'm pretty sure one of them will end up being made into a baby card! I found the flowers at AC Moore's for $1 a pk. These are from 2 different styles/packs, going to have to be sure to get back there an get some more before they are gone. Well that's all for now be sure to check back tomorrow! I've been on a roll this week. Challenges are listed below.
