Daisy Mosaic

 

Hello! Once again I seem to have made a mostly "die cuts" card? I was going thru stuff laying on my desk and found this Daisy Mosaic die cut that I had cut out months ago! It's from Creative Expressions and it's a bit of a odd size. After I cut it out I wasn't sure what to do with it and just laid it aside and forgot about it but the current Freshly made sketch inspired me with how to use it! I LOVE how this turned out!! I foresee more cards in different colors and sentiments in my future! Maybe switch out the dragonflies for butterflies?! My dragonflies are from a punch.  I added some black nailheads to the flower centers. Anyone know where to buy these at? I used to get them at AC Moore's. Miss that store! Gonna miss using them when my stash is gone. They are so nice for mailing compared to brads and rhinestones ect. My sentiment is heat embossed. I don't remember of hand who it's by? It's a wooden stamp that i picked up at one of the box stores. It was cut out with a Stamps of Life stitched rectangle die. Thats it for now thanks for stopping by! Challenges are listed below.

Hello! Today I have a pretty flower card to share with you! I used the Sweet n Sassy Stamps Flowers in Bloom set. Thinking it's meant to be a Cone flower but went with the Brown Eyed Susan's look this time around. Here is a card I did in the past more like the Cone Flower . This sketch is also a recycled  one for me too apparently? Here is the card I made a few years ago with it. I like it so it was a fun one to do again. Summer time Favorite!

Hello! Nothing says summer like a slice of cold watermelon! YUM! I had to have another go at the CAS(E) sketch.  I always struggle with CAS cards but this one i really like!! I used a old favorite  PTI mini stamp set and die .  The melons they are nice and sparkly as i finished them off with a Spectrum clear glitter brush. Added some bling and called it done. Keeping this post short and sweet. See ya again soon!

Hello! Just had to have another go at this sketch. Think it'll be a go to for when I'm in need of a quick card? Specially for one's show casing sentiments I think? I used another piece of 6 x 6 paper from the same Recollections pad as yesterdays card. Added some "punch" art and bling to finish it off. Think this one is so pretty and makes me think Spring/Summer. Okay that's it for now hope you have a great week and hopefully I'll be back with more cards this week.

Narcissus Thanks

 Well I'm really cutting it close to getting a blog post in today! And blogger is really giving me fits so not sure that it will even happen/post? Had a great day shopping with my Sister-in-Law and found lots more crafty goodies. Tuesday Morning got me in BIG trouble and than Hobby Lobby has started their semi annual clearance sales and I was SUPER bad and went to TWO different stores!! I think I may need a 12 Step program for Craft Ahcoholics!! Supposed to be rainy and ugly here tomorrow so hoping to have a play in the craft room kinda day?

Today's card uses the BEAUTIFUL digi stamp set called Narcissus from Beccy's Place! I fussy cut it out and mounted it with foam tape to give it some dimension. I lightly colored the flower centers and stems with my Copic markers. Wrapped it with some jute twine and added a bow. Tucked in a little tag with my sentiment. I used my all time favorite doily lace border punch. I distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink. Finished it off with some rustic like bling. Love the vintage feel that this card has. That's it for today now to see if  blogger will let me post? Could just be my laptop acting up too I guess?! Thanks for stopping by!

Apple of My Eye

Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for a brand new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I took a few liberties with the sketch this week! Flipped it for one and used this large cut out apple image from the former Flourishes stamp company called Apple of My Eye. It is colored with my Prisma Color pencils. I used a SU embossing folder for the background. It kinda looked like/reminded me of apple cores??!! My picture doesn't due it justice. My phone is starting to crap out on me and camera/picture quality is not near as good as it used to be. Guess maybe I've dropped it one to many times?! Just hate the thought of getting/learning a new phone but it soon will be necessary I fear as it's starting to randomly shut off too. Hello! It's Tuesday so that means it's new sketch time at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I'll admit this one had me going for a bit but guess it was worth it in the end?!! I used a Beccy's Place digi for my card this week. I colored it with my Prisma Color pencils, been really enjoying using them again! I used my neglected paper crimper for my little side strip, added some twine and a wooden sentiment tag. Found some little wooden embellishments to finish it off. Today I have another card to share with you for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog hop.  I just love this cup image from the Stampin Up Perfect Blend set, which I sadly now seem to have misplaced. :-( I fear it may have fallen in the trash and got thrown out?! I'm glad I had stamped up a bunch of images when I first got the set to play with and paper piece. Will be sad when those are all used up. I paired it with the Tim Holtz coffee cup embossing folder. Embossed on Kraft cardstock and than ran my white ink pad over it. Used some scraps of paper, ribbon, and twine off my table to finish it off. The sentiment on the cup is from a different company and at the moment I can't think of the name? Picked it up at a stamp show. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hello! I seem to be on a roll with my Fall cards! This is for the Stampin' Royalty Challenge SR#344 to use Stripes. The Word Art Wednesday, anything goes challenge. Also another one for the Mod Squad Challenge to use Foliage. Love using my SU oval punches to make pumpkins! I embossed some card stock an ran a ink pad over it before punching out my pieces and assembling them. The center ovals are up on foam tape to give a 3D look. The thanks is a die cut (Hero Arts I believe) that my friend Stacy  (Thanks Stacy!!) sent me, Love the font/style of this one an will have to add it to my never ending wish list!
