For Someone Special

Hello! I was looking thru my stash for something to make some quick cards with and came across some tags I had made a few years ago and never used! This one ended up working perfectly for the Inlay Die Cut challenge I saw over on SCS. Love how this one turned out! The color of the rhinestones matches MUCH better than the photo shows. Not sure why they look so dark?  Anyway that's it for now thanks for stopping by and come back soon!

CAS Christmas

Hello! I have a quick and CAS card to share with you today. I so struggle with these. It looks so plain to me and I keep wanting to add more/something?! I did add some gold pearls as a dot to the "i" and the center of the large star at the top. It does look so much better than the picture shows though. That's it for now but I'm working on more cards so check back again soon!

Buffalo Plaid Christmas

Hello! Well It's that time of year again.....Holiday challenges!! I'm having a very slow start but still hope to get a few done! The weather has been unseasonably warm and sunny here and I just can't stay inside and miss out on it. I did make a short visit to the craft room to throw together this quick CAS card! I broke down and bought the SU moose punch and just had to be sure to use it. It makes for great masculine cards don't you think??! Keeping this one short and sweet. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back again this week with a few more?! Challenges are listed below.

Fall Plaid

Who's ready for Fall?!! Not really wishing Summer away put it has been a warm one and I am ready for the cooler temps! Today's card screams Fall to me. The sentiment was in my scrap box of images, think it was a dollar stamp from ages ago?  Looks like I stamped it with one of those Kaleidacolor stamp pads? Humm I wonder if I still have one of those pads stuck in a drawer somewhere?! If so It's probably all dried up. Anyway I just inked around the edges of the image to match my pretty plaid paper. It's from a mixed 6x6 plaid paper pack from Stampin Up. I finished it off with some die cut leaves that i already had made an added a few sequins. I also added some shimmer to the leaves but that doesn't show up in the picture. Such a pretty and crisp Fall card! Thanks for stopping by and come back again soon!

Brown Eyed Susan's

Hello! Today I have a pretty flower card to share with you! I used the Sweet n Sassy Stamps Flowers in Bloom set. Thinking it's meant to be a Cone flower but went with the Brown Eyed Susan's look this time around. Here is a card I did in the past more like the Cone Flower . This sketch is also a recycled  one for me too apparently? Here is the card I made a few years ago with it. I like it so it was a fun one to do again. That's it for now thanks so much for stopping by! List of challenges used is listed below.

Trick or Treat

Hello! Finally got the motivation to get back in the craft room for a bit. Found some sketches to get me going and this is one of them. This card came together quickly at least for me! I had recently picked up a pack of glittery pumpkins and spider webs at Tuesday Morning's and they worked perfectly with this sketch. I did back them with contrasting card stock to make them "pop" more! The pumpkin is raised up with some foam tape. I added the rhinestones for a bit more bling. The bat punch was a last minute add to cover up a ink smudge. Only stamping i did was on the back the card and I still managed to get it one the card front.  Oh well i think it's a nice ''oops''?? I like this layout for a quick card now I need to look thru my stash and see what else I might have that will work? Okay that's it for now but should be back again tomorrow just need to write up a couple more posts for the cards! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Christmas Cupcake

Hello! Today I have a 2nd card to share with you using the current Sketch Saturday sketch. Not as happy with this one though? Thinking it's the greenery I used? Wish I had a holly type branch that would have maybe looked better? Guess I could have used bling too but thouht I already had enough of that on this card! The cupcake is a felt sticker. I sure am going to miss AC Moore stores, they had the cutest stickers/embellishments like this for all the different holidays that were perfect for cards. The sentiment was from a sheet of  stickers that i got from Hobby Lobby. Only ink on this card is the sponging around the circle of the cupcake. That's it for now thanks for stopping by come back again soon!

Paper Pumpkins

Who's ready for some cooler weather??! I know I am! Sure has been a warm summer here in south central PA. When I first saw this sketch I thought of pumpkins! Since I needed to get a start on my fall cards this was perfect! The pumpkins are made with 2 different size SU oval punches. The center of the pumpkins is popped up and the edges are inked. The rest was done with various dies in my stash. I heat embossed the sentiment. I find myself making more and more cards using mainly dies. They are so much fun to play around with. Okay that's all for now, stay cool!

Silver Anniversary

Hello! Today I have a sparkly and shiny card to share with you. Not that you can tell from my picture. I used a shimmery white and silver paper. The heart die was one I borrowed from a friend. Thought it would make pretty Anniversary and Wedding cards! I added a pretty button to the flower center and finished it of with a sparkly foil butterfly/sticker. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver. Turned out so pretty! That's it for today hope to be back tomorrow with another card.

BOO

Hello! Here's hoping this post actually turns out? Apparently blogger has changed formats or something because i'm having issues getting the pictures where I want them? Man do I ever HATE change?!! So if this looks different than usual you'll know why! Think I figured it out but had to resize pictures to get it how I want it? This is my take on the current CAS(E) sketch! I recently bought this Impression Obsession die on clearance at my local stamp store and thought it worked perfectly with the sketch. Found the perfect scrap of paper in my bin to pair with it. Hopefully I'll have time to play with this sketch again. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sunflower Blues

Hello! Finally made time to get inky....well sorta?!! As the only ink is the sentiment I guess I should say get crafty instead?! Anyway...As soon as I saw the current Tuesday Morning sketch I KNEW what I wanted to do! Perfect time to break in this new Sunflower die set that I got from Stampin Up! I did get the matching stamp set too but didn't use it on this card. I went with non traditional colors, I think I'll get more use of the set doing that? But believe me there will be Fall cards and colors used too in the future! I added a button tied with some ribbon to my Sunflower center. Finished it off with a strip of the same ribbon on the sentiment panel. I'm happy with the way this one turned out! I see lots more "Sunflower" cards in my future! Hoping to have more time in the craft room again. My youngest son and his puppy have headed back to school! Puppy's take a bit more work that cats, just sayin!! ;-) That's it for now thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! Challenges are listed below.

Cherry Blossom Wishes

Edited to add.....Well so much for scheduling my post last night. Didn't realize the freshly Made Sketch was ending so soon. Didn't make it here till late today and missed out on posting to that challenge.

Hello! Today I have a Twofer of sorts?! Sketch challenges are my favorite and go to challenges. I found 2 almost identical! Only the sentiment placement was different. Here is the card I came up with!  I did add an extra layer......just couldn't do another plain (CAS) card base two days in a row??  LOVE how this one turned out. The Cherry Blossom paper is just soooo pretty?! It came in a flower pack of card stock from JoAnn's. I added a branch die cut (think it's Memory Box?) and a beautiful sparkly die cut/sticker that I got at the Dollar Tree.Think there are like 9 on the sheet in different colors? Man if you haven't been to a Dollar Tree lately they sure have come a long way in their crafty section! Those $1's add up there quickly too! ;-) The background is a Stampin Up embossing folder called Coasted Weave. Added some bling and called it done. Thanks so much for stopping by. CAS Birthday

Hello!! Today I have a CAS card to share with you! Let me tell you how VERY hard this was for me to NOT add another layer instead of just the plain cream card base!! This came together pretty quickly. Great way to show case the pretty sparkly K&CO DSP not that you can tell at all in my picture. I made my butterfly accent with some Prima type flowers. I used the center flower stem to make the butterfly antennas. Embossed my sentiment and added some rhinestones and called it done! Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Feline Better?

Hello! Really cutting it to the wire with this one! Loved this sketch when I first saw it and I knew that I wanted to do "Band-Aid's" for it. Not sure it quite turned out like I imagined but that's what happens when you wait to the last minute! Sorry for the bad picture maybe I can get a better one in the daylight tomorrow outside?! My Newton's Nook images are heat embossed colored with copics and fussy cut out. Added them to the top of some Stamps of Life die cut Band-aid's. Think it makes for a cute get well card! Hello! When I saw this sketch I knew I just had to play along! Sketch challenges are my favorite. A great way to get the MOJO going. I'm cutting it close to the wire on getting it posted in time though. Love the card making but the blogging part I still struggle with?! Anyone else like that??  The other day I spent some time stamping off some new stamps i have bought the past few months. This was one of them. Thought it would work out great with this sketch. The jar is embossed and hard to tell from the picture but I went with a light pink tint for the jar. Finished it off with the button. I did add the birthday banner thought it was a nice touch?! Thanks so much for stopping by hopefully I'll be back again soon. Have a great day!!

Peaceful Poppies

Hello! Wow what a year 2020 is turning out to be??! Been almost 2 months since my last post. Just getting back into my stamp room this past week. Didn't intend to have that break! My husband ended up in the hospital. They say he had a mini/silent stroke. They expect a full recovery with time and therapy. So thankful it could have been so much worse. That and now dealing with the COVID-19! Thoughts and Prayers to everyone as we get through these difficult times.

When I saw the pretty new poppy stuff in the Stampin Up mini catalog I just had to get some of it! Waited a bit to long though and the dies were out of stock but so hoping they come back in and I can still order them?!! If and when they do I just may have to add a 2nd pack of the BEAUTIFUL paper too! Think I have made about 7 or 8 with it already? Manly just using the paper and sentiments. Can only imagine what I will make if I can get those poppy flower dies too. Anyway thanks for stopping by. If all goes well maybe I'll be able to post a bit more often now again. Challenges I used for my card are listed below. See you again soon!

Happy "Heart" Day!

Hello! Back with another "CUTE" Valentine card using the same adorable kitty from the other day. I was inspired by the "ruffled" hearts on the background paper to add a paper doily! Then I added a pretty stitched circle to the center and topped it of with my fussy cut out image. Finished it off with some pretty tin/foil type heart stickers. Love how it turned out. That's it for now thanks for stopping by!

Hello! Just had to have another go at this sketch. Think it'll be a go to for when I'm in need of a quick card? Specially for one's show casing sentiments I think? I used another piece of 6 x 6 paper from the same Recollections pad as yesterdays card. Added some "punch" art and bling to finish it off. Think this one is so pretty and makes me think Spring/Summer. Okay that's it for now hope you have a great week and hopefully I'll be back with more cards this week.

With sincere Sympathy

Hello I'm back with a quick post! I  just had to do this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch. It's a pretty quick and easy one. Great way to use up some of your double sided 6 x 6 papers. Liked it so much I've made 2 so far. Maybe I'll post the other one tomorrow?! Found the sentiment in my bin of already stamped images. Think it might be from a $1 wooden stamp from one of the box stores?? Cut it out with a stitched die and colored with my copics. Dry embossed a scrap of card stock and die cut it with a banner die. Keeping this one simple. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Narcissus Thanks

Well I'm really cutting it close to getting a blog post in today! And blogger is really giving me fits so not sure that it will even happen/post? Had a great day shopping with my Sister-in-Law and found lots more crafty goodies. Tuesday Morning got me in BIG trouble and than Hobby Lobby has started their semi annual clearance sales and I was SUPER bad and went to TWO different stores!! I think I may need a 12 Step program for Craft Ahcoholics!! Supposed to be rainy and ugly here tomorrow so hoping to have a play in the craft room kinda day?

Today's card uses the BEAUTIFUL digi stamp set called Narcissus from Beccy's Place! I fussy cut it out and mounted it with foam tape to give it some dimension. I lightly colored the flower centers and stems with my Copic markers. Wrapped it with some jute twine and added a bow. Tucked in a little tag with my sentiment. I used my all time favorite doily lace border punch. I distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink. Finished it off with some rustic like bling. Love the vintage feel that this card has. That's it for today now to see if  blogger will let me post? Could just be my laptop acting up too I guess?! Thanks for stopping by!

Kitty Love

WoW! What a GORGEOUS day we had here in South Central PA today?! Think it got up to 65 today? In February! Needless to say I did not make it to the stamp room today. I spent some time outside soaking up some Vitamin D! Went for a long walk and than cleaned up in the yard under the bird feeders and stuff like that.

I made this card over the weekend and man do I ever struggle with CAS!! I kept wanting to add more layers! LOL The papers are from a Valentine's K&Company pad that I picked up recently at Tuesday Morning. Man do I ever LOVE looking thru that stores crafty section?!! I always spend to much $$ and I may get to one again tomorrow?!  The stamp I think was a .25 cent Yard Sale find?? It says Hooks Lines & Inkers '93 on the side of it? That's a new one too me never heard of it? Guessing they are no longer around? I colored it with Copics and fussy cut it out. That's about it? Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow night with another post?! List of challenges is listed below.

Ladybug Ladybug

I'm baaaaaaaack! See if  i can go for another full week of blog posts? Today's card use's the stamp that I think started this crafting hobby aka addiction for me? Pretty sure this was the first one of MANY Penny Black stamps that are now a part of my collection. I just LOVE them! The Hedgehogs and Cats being my most favorite. Sad thing is.....have nowhere near used them all yet. Please insert the blushing emoji here!! Some day I should count and see how many I have???

For my card I used a new embossing folder that I picked up back in October at the Stamp show. Not sure how well you can see it but it's ladybugs. It's by Darice and is it ever cute!! My image is colored with a combo of Copics and Prisma Color Pencils. I just can't seem to get  Hedgehog or House Mouse fur to look good with markers. I added Glossy Accents to the ladybug and some rhinestones to the sentiment banner. The ribbon isn't part of the sketch put i just felt it needed something to tie it all together?!! Love how it turned out and it is one of my top favorite color combos.

Okay that's it for me today! Hoping to hit the stamp room a bit yet tonight? Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week! Challenges are listed below/

Cupcake Bear

Hello!! Well I DID It!! One full week of blog posts?! I even have one partially ready for tomorrow. I've been on a roll with card making the past 2 weeks. The challenges have really helped inspire me. I make a lot more cards than I post but thanks to challenges it really pushes me to keep at it.

I just had to make another card with this Birthday paper while I had it out on my table. I found this adorable teddy bear in my bin of already colored images that matched it perfectly! It's a digital freebie from over at Beccy's Place. It's colored with Prisma color pencils. I added Stickles to the icing and Glossy Accent to the nose and paw pads. The image is fussy cut out and mounted onto a embossed circle. Finished it off with another paper bow (really going to miss this borrowed punch when I have to return it!) and some enamel dots. Isn't it cute?!! Love how it turned out!!

Well that's it for now, if all goes well I'll be back again tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Challenges are listed below.

Sugar Sugar

TGIF!! Today I have another quick card to share with you. My card today uses some very sparkly cloth type stickers that I got from Hobby Lobby. The picture doesn't do them justice for how glittery they really are. I used 2 different embossing folder to give it some added texture. I left off a sentiment cause I think this card could go 2 different ways?? Either a Valentine or Birthday card? Anyway it was quick and easy and I didn't use yellow?!! LOL  Hope you have a great weekend and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with another card? That would make a full week of posting for me?! Thanks for stopping by I LOVE reading your comments!
